When will y'all find out if there's a season two?? Is there any way we the fans can help? :)
Anonymous said: will there ever be a season 2? I wanna find out what happens to Beth, and her relationship with Teddy. Or how the relationship goes between Joan and Meg. Or maybe a side series of Jo’s small film production.

Hey anons! Thanks for checking in! It’s really really amazing to hear from you and to know that you’re just as passionate about a season two of MFL as we are! We also love and miss these characters and we’re really eager to bring more of their stories to life.
We’ve been a little quiet on our end because, to be honest, we haven’t had much of a chance to actively pursue a season two. Pretty much the instant March Family Letters finished releasing, the team was hired (thanks to MFL!) to produce another literary-inspired webseries. This is a great thing! It’s so rare in this space to be paid for the work that you do and just like MFL, this new project has challenged us to become better creators. Plus, we’re super-excited about the story we’re putting together and can’t wait to be able to talk about it more and share it with you. So this is what we’ve been working on since June and it’s been a lot of fun! However, the flip side of that is because our team is so small (and working other jobs), we can really only handle one series at a time. The plan is, once this new series is done production (probably around late fall), to turn our attention back to figuring out how to fund season two. Our biggest hurdle in making more MFL happen is finding the money. Our actors and crew need to get paid, we need to be able to feed them, we need to be able to make it look nice by paying for production design, we need to pay for equipment, and all the other expenses that go into making good media production happen. There are many possible routes for us to explore, but they are all a lot of work and time-consuming, so we will need to be able to devote our undivided energy towards it.
But since you asked, here are some things you could do as a fan right now!
Let the Independent Production Fund (who helped fund our first season) and Pemberley Digital know that you liked the series and hope to see a second season. These organizations have both been big supporters of the series and will probably be crucial to helping us make more, so it’s good to make your voices heard so that they’re encouraged to keep supporting the show.
Tell people who you think would like MFL about the series. Not only do we love having new people in the fandom (hi there!), but the fact is that more views and engagement on the series can only help when we talk to people like the IPF, PD or potential sponsors.
Start saving your pennies. We know some of you have expressed that you’d be willing to help us fund a second season. Which WOW is still fracking amazing. This definitely is a route that we may end up taking (probably in conjunction with other forms of financing), but we don’t want to take your money without a plan.
Keep being awesome. It’s so incredibly wonderful to come onto places like Tumblr and see the art & gifs & screencaps & headcanons & discussions & reactions & fic being made about the series. While this may not directly help with a season two, we still fan out about every little thing, so really thank you for being such amazing, talented people and for making this experience so rewarding.
So thank you once again anons for prompting us to write this update post and we will keep you in the loop as we make progress towards seeing our little women again.
