hey i forgot to check back to get the prompt, sorry. this ones a short one and not really poetry but eh, what can you do? like broken glass. you were like broken glass // you were beautiful // and broken and sharp // and it hurt to touch you // but i felt this mind numbing urge// to fix you up and make you whole again// you were like broken glass,// and i was the hand that for reasons // unknown by all - myself included -// slit all my fingers on you, because i was so// (1/2)

desperate to get you all cleaned up but// you were like broken glass// you were beautiful// and broken and sharp// and it hurt so bad to touch you// and there was no way for me to fix you// maybe someone more experienced than me, a glassworker perhaps, // could melt you down and make you whole again, but all i did // was cut myself and throw you away//
