omg you guys are idiots. like you know johnny depp is the actual abuser right? his lawyers cried "false allegarions!" and now some pro-depp blogs & twitters are twisting it to sound like fact. y'all really love to immediately turn on women & survivors just to defend your ugly ass celebrity man. literally SHUT UP until you actually look through the fucking court documents. you people are disgusting. get help!
I think! You need to calm down friendnon.
All I’ve done is reblogged a post that had a lot of compelling counter evidence to what’s happening. I hesitated reblogging it quite a bit actually because I’m super not a fan of tumblrs tendency to turn on people, and I’m especially not a fan of flat out denying abuse claims.
I do not know enough about anything that’s going on with that case; I do know that I’ve reblogged posts about Depp being the abuser before though, so when I read through this new post it ended up only seeming right that I reblog it as well. If things go the other way again I’ll probably reblog that post as well.
You’ve read way too deep into me reblogging that post. I don’t stan Johnny Depp - I don’t stan any celebrities, period. I’ve been disappointed too many times to put anyone on that kind of pedestal. That post however lists quite a bit of compelling evidence that Depp is the one who was actually being abused, and I think tacitly dismissing that possibility is no good. Male abuse victims are already ignored and mythologized enough as it is, especially when their abusers are female.
Also like, don’t come into strangers’ inboxes immediately shouting insults and calling them disgusting and telling them to get help. That’s rude and counterproductive. You don’t know me, you don’t know my reasons for anything I do including why I would reblog that post, and it just makes you look like an asshole.
Like, seriously, you could’ve come into my inbox with like, some more information on why that post is wrong and try and just like, talk to me, like a human being, instead of immediately going aggro. Come on dude, it costs basically nothing to give someone, especially a stranger you saw on the internet, the benefit of the doubt.
