life has handed me a literal miracle; my mothers cat, the disappearance of which i blamed myself for because he had been my responsibility, has just turned up after like a year of absence, alive and well, beautifully healthy and happy to see his momma it never stopped eating at me yall have no idea how fucking relieved i am to know i didnt kill my mothers cat.

Shuichi and Kiibo likely spent the afternoons in the courtyard playing with their kitten, returning to their rooms during nighttime.

The kitten could not be left alone for long periods of time– The two found this out the hard way when sleeping. If one kept the cat in their room, it would often keep them up, crying at the door. Because of this, they eventually started sharing a bed, which of course, the cat slept on.

You can’t tell me the cat didn’t steal the pillows, causing one of them to sleep without one.

Shuichi and Kiibo probably danced around their feelings for a while, trying to keep things lowkey. I feel like, if the kitten wasn’t a gift from one to the other, it was likely what brought them together.

Kiibo probably nearly had a meltdown when confessing to Saihara. We all know that the detective wouldn’t’ve confessed first.

BONUS: Miu constantly pestering Kiibo about potential add-ons to “enhance their relationship”.

I’m glad you like it though! Normally requests take me a day or two to get around to; I haven’t been as interested in aesthetics as of lately for some reason. Ah well.
