“You are a brick tied to me that’s dragging me down, strike a match and I’ll burn you to the ground” — The Phoenix
Which of your loyalties is stronger; that to Black Lotus, or that to your friends of other affiliations? Would you sacrifice a friend for Black Lotus or vice versa?
“Ultimately…my loyalty to Black Lotus is what has to take priority in business. I might be higher in the ranks, but they could crush me in an instant if they found reason to, or simply if they would be pleased to do so. I’ve earned my place from sweat, tears, and blood, and that’s not something I want to jeopardize so easily. But…between you and I, depending on the friend, I would absolutely try to pull whatever strings I could to keep them from harm, and, if it came down to it…I would sacrifice myself for them. I can only hope that those lines crossing is something I won’t have to face anytime too soon.”
do you really care about sukjin/hyoyeon/mingyu/wonwoo etc or are they just a means to keep the loneliness at bay?
Honesty Hour — accepting
“I want people to see me as someone solitary and capable of living and thriving on my own, that I care for and need no one — but that is not the truth. However, If they were simply means to keep the loneliness at bay, I would be willing to leave any and all of them for dead if I found myself at risk. But they’re more than that. Yes, they provide me company, but they also provide care and love in a world that, upon knowing who and what I am, would rather watch me burn. They’re a reason to be careful when I would otherwise be reckless, and a reason to try everything I can to come home at the end of the day in one piece so I can be there for them for another day.”
Honesty Hour: if you didn't have a gang related job, what would your ideal profession be?
( Honesty ‘Hour’ ) — accepting!
“Mm…maybe I actually would have been a writer. Maybe not a poet, but maybe short stories…or journalism of some sort? Writing is really one of the only things that I could get away with so…uh, yeah. A profession having to do with that would be my ideal, if I hadn’t grown and ended up the way I did. But oh well. I do what I do now, and write a little when the mood strikes me. Nothing I’m butt hurt over or anything.”
Honesty Hour: what is your true relationship with Diana?
( Honesty ‘Hour’ ) — accepting!
I’d give her the world if I could. “Diana? She’s my partner in and out of crime, my best friend, my go to for well, anything and everything. “ And someone who has seen through and simultaneously put up with all my issues and baggage. “She’s one of the few that I trust with my life and by my side. As for the status of our relationship…I can only honestly tell you what I know: I love her to death and I would do more than knock someone’s lights out for her.”
If Black Lotus told you to turn on another member, would you? Is there anyone you would fight the system for?
( Honesty ‘Hour’ ) — accepting!
“An order is an order. I’m to do as I am told—that’s how I make my portion of earnings. Doing what I am supposed to do, what I was made to do.” she pauses for a moment, staring off with a scowl on her lips. “Anyone I would fight the system for?” Seulgi quietly thinks over this, if it is in regards to Black Lotus…Hyoyeon and Jongup are the very first to come to her mind, but she opts on making her answer quite twisted. “No one I would fight for would need to fight the system. I don’t look upon those who have not earned their place until they have rightfully done so.”
Rate the members of Black Lotus from most useful to most useless (can't skip out on anyone, there isn't many of them)
( Honesty ‘Hour’ ) — accepting!
“So…I have to order Boxian, Babydoll, Whisper, Diana, Bunny, Peater, Dandelion, and I suppose you’re going to want me to include myself, too, aren’t you?” She sighs. Trivial, pointless little games (but in all honesty…she simply didn’t want to do it).
“This really doesn’t make any sense, though. We have such a good, strong variety. And what do the other gangs have to show? The ability to pull some strings when the fire gets out of hand?” She was putting off the question, at this point—but her point was still true.
“But whatever, I guess I’ll go along with this incredibly biased question.”
“Number one would have to go to Dandelion, for her strength and ability to remain unwavering. Diana and Peater share the spot of number two, because of all the dirty work that they don’t always get deserved credit for. Number three goes to Babydoll for having two essential roles. Number four goes to Bunny, number five is Whisper. They may be background characters, but they handle a lot, too. Number six would be Boxian, but mostly because I don’t pay much attention to his side of things, aside from when I need to take out sleazy trash. And number seven? Number seven is Eris, because without me, Black Lotus would still live and thrive. I’m just a pretty face with a scary attitude and skill set.”
What would you do if your father came back into your life?
( Honesty ‘Hour’ ) — accepting!
“Part of me wants to say that I would kill him…but, maybe I would hire a fellow assassin to kill him instead. I know I could do that now but there’s no point in messing with him or attracting him back to me if he is alive, somewhere out there. I don’t want him back in my life—I left for a reason: to get away from him and his leash. And I hardly would be able to believe the “but maybe he’s changed” card.”
Her answer seems straight to the point and certain…but in all honesty, Kang Seulgi still feared her father—the thought of him stepping back into her life was something she was terrified of, the fact that he might either try to drag her back or kill her himself, she doesn’t know and she doesn’t want to know. The question itself is enough to strike at her paranoia…but even with the mix of emotions; she’s convinced herself she would be better off he simply stayed out of her life, and can only hope and tell herself that she did enough for him not to find her unless he desperately tried to do so.
