"You mean everything to me."
She blinked, a soft blush rising in her cheeks."Um..th-thanks. I mean--" She huffed out a breath of embarrassed laughter. "Sorry. I'm bad at this." Her arms slipped around his waist, and she kissed him gently on the cheek. "I'm glad you found me."
The lights went out suddenly, only in her room, and then flickered back on like nothing had happened at all. Only the little stutter in the bulbs, if you blinked you might have missed it, heralded the Commander of Death's approach. Nothing more, nothing less. He was angry, it was true, but he'd not let it show, not just yet, however, even controlling himself tightly, everything smaller than a dog perished and rotted as he passed by. Food, pets, plants. All was subject to his power and wrath.
With Peri still asleep, the Antichrist was keeping watch, green eyes wary as he sat in the window the god Mother once called a brother used to perch in. His brothers had their distractions. Companions that needed their attentions, comforts to keep them from facing a harsher reality in front of them.
Einon had no need for such comforts and distractions, nor did he care for them. He only had one need - to ensure the safety of those he deemed worth his feelings and care, and that was why he kept his eye upon to the half-dragon sleeping behind him. Even so, the presence of others was all over the room. Demons...one of death's agents (and if he didn't know any better, it was that one that shared a familiar appearance to the deceased god in question)...she was coping, and poorly at that, with Zirnitra's death. But he couldn't stop her, even if he wanted to. This was her own way of trying to attain comfort, even if he didn't like it.
Einon exhaled a sigh through his nose, watching leaves fall from the trees outside...and then something made him tense defensively. Death approaching. Not the same death like the presence in the room, either, this was a different magic, and outside, the grass browned and died at a rapid rate.
His gaze turned to the door, black briefly sheeting his eyes as whatever it was got closer.

She spent a large amount of time wandering through bookstores and libraries. She hadn't really thought much of where she was, humming contentedly to herself and distracted by the tomes, until she passed a bit too close to the sales counter.
A tell-tale shock ran through her system, and she dropped the books in her arms, muttering apologies without looking up at the man.
"Sorry, so sorry."
anonymous-poetics replied to your post: "Thusly I am." Lofi said solemnly, stepping out of the Anonymous shroud. “If thou does’t find this face detestable, I should go and leave you in peace."
Lofi smiled softly and a faint burst of pink colored his cheeks, “I wouldst think thusly for ‘t is an acceptable reason to flee."
"But... nothing's wrong with you." She looked confused, until realization dawned and her own cheeks colored. "Oh... you meant like, if I--specifically me, Rachel-- doesn't like it...?"
"Thusly I am." Lofi said solemnly, stepping out of the Anonymous shroud. "If thou does't find this face detestable, I should go and leave you in peace."
She smiled, tucking hair behind her ear. "Why would you even think that? Don't go. It's good to see what you look like."
anonymous-poetics said: Alas, fair mistress, though I sinisterly wished for thee myself, it pains me to know you think thusly. You are a completely wonderful woman, with whom there is no fault. Indeed, it is the fault of the man who let thee slip through his fingers…
-she gave him a wry smile-
Thanks but it's no more his fault than mine. Just one of those things, I guess. And my family... it's just one more thing where I let them down, you know? I never could do anything the way I was supposed to.
