i finally got around to designing finduilas’ mom

aight okay i’ll forever be disappointed by the lack of information about Orodreth’s wife (not even a name i can attempt to pull an entire personality out of? how unfortunate) but here are my hcs for her nonetheless. 

she’s a Sindarin elf, apparently, so we have that I guess 

she can look like Whatever We Want though so in my head she has brown skin and dark curly hair and shiny freckles (Finduilas got her freckles from her mom, as well as her hair fluffiness bc Orodreth has no curls to speak of) 

she was the one to flirt with Orodreth, which, honestly, he was kind of relieved about because he was probably gonna be pressured to Choose A Wife and all that, but then this cool lady came out of nowhere? nice 

on top of that she didn’t realize he was an Arafinwean for a while until she was like “wait hold on” 

he didn’t know whether to be insulted or not by the fact that she couldn’t tell, but she said “i mean at least you know I like you for your personality and not your birthright” and that put it to rest 

she’s kinda short but makes up for it with a presence like the sun, something that she also passed down to her daughter 

a people person with a big heart 

too big, i guess, because when Minas Tirith got taken by Sauron she took up a sword to help defend her family as they fled and ended up getting killed, which Orodreth was super fucked up about 

(i still don’t have a name help me)

So I saw that you were looking for a name for Orodreth’s wife and,, uh,,,, how does Anorindil sound? It means sun heart.
