Définissant le conflit || Johnny & Minzy
Walking out of the Double Dragons headquarters, Minzy realized her one-week-vacation was over. The young hitwoman’s most recent mission had been her second big one in a short time as she’d cleared a financial fraud out of the way after finishing off a political madman not much earlier. In order not to get suspicious, Minzy had been sent on a well-deserving vacation, and she hadn’t minded it at all. She had enjoyed every single day and found a hobby because she suddenly had too much time on her hands. Her new-found interests in music, both piano and guitar as well as singing, were not to be given up as the girl appreciated them too much and had enough time anyway. She saw it as a good investment, maybe she could impress Hyunjoong with her so-called ‘skills’ sometime. Now that she left the main building with just one paper of information in her bag, she knew she wasn’t going to do any big missions sometime soon. There was no need, and she had to stay away from all potential suspicions, yet she couldn’t exactly do nothing; she was the quickest and most invisible in the whole gang during missions, and therefore a favourite option for her boss. As soon as she got home, she got ready to leave for Café d’Ombres, and just before she left she took a last look over the paper. Name: Oh Jangsoo Age: 20 Occupation: waiter at Trinity Address: 135-283 Seoul Teukbyeolsi Yongsan-gu Seocho 2-dong 1308-25 Hana APT 9-cheung 912-ho Crime: robbing our store at Jongno Sentence: death Deadline: three days And that, together with a picture of the target’s face and silhouette, was more than enough information for the assassin to start the job and finish it off before the end of the night. Luck found her even sooner though, because when she entered her usual café to have a drink before the job, she found the ‘kid’ sitting at the bar, wasting himself at an early hour. Jungsu came her way to embrace her and welcome her - he sometimes had that kind of mood, just like Minzy sometimes did - but the hitwoman was now officially on a job, and made that clear by saying ‘please don’t call me again’ rudely. People around them must have thought the two had went on a date or so. Jungsu, however, simply nodded and asked if she wanted the regular, and left to get her a Jameson 18 without even awaiting an answer. The target was nervously looking around, it took no eagle to notice that. The thief had probably stolen more often and got caught before by people worse than the police, because when he looked at Minzy and she turned around to face him, and they had eye contact, the guy seemed not to trust her. He was tapping on the counter nervously and paid for his drink, after which he immediately left. When Minzy followed him out without even paying, though, he knew she was trouble. At first he walked calmly on the side of the road, but soon enough he quickened his pace, looking over his shoulder nervously to see if the female was still following. He spotted her on a small distance. He took a run for it. He ran hard, and he ran harder, and he ran all oxygen from his lungs until he nearly collapsed. His legs barely held him, and he just had enough strength to look around to see if the young girl was still around. A wave of relieve went through the poor kid’s body as he didn’t spot another pair of eyes in the dark, but at the same time it frightened him that he was all alone in the area. The 20-year-old struggled to find a way home - exactly where was he now? - but he didn’t get far, because from the corner of his eyes he spotted a dark figure flying towards him, and with a hard push he was hit to the ground. Half-conscious he felt his clothes being tugged at and his body scraping over the cold floor. His attacker, she was dragging him into the alley on the side! “Whattaya want?!” He exclaimed kind of weakly, but frightened nevertheless. Frightened? He was scared to death. “What’re ya gonna do with me!” He was regaining a little energy as he tried to shout, but when the other let go of him and he fell to the floor, he knew there was no point in trying no more. “You had a warning, now you pay.” Said Minzy, pulling her weapon of choice: a 7 inch two-edged blade. “No,” stumbled the kid, “no, no! NO!!” Minzy felt bad for him, and she knew she had a hard time killing a man like this - she rather killed them in a fight. This simply worked on her morals. “Get up.” She said, but the man froze. “Get up and try to save yourself.” He got up but didn’t run. “Push me.” She said, but to no avail. “PUSH ME! HIT ME!” When he still didn’t do anything, she waved her weapon in front of his face, warning him. He courageously took a step forward, hands in direction of the female’s neck, but before he could even touch her, the blade had found the place between his ribs where his aorta was, and he died in less than five seconds. Minzy stood there, looking at the body falling to the ground. Was this really the work she wanted to do? No, definitely not, and she knew it. But it was her only option. She had to. She placed the knife in a box and returned to the café, where she used the sink in the back to rinse the weapon with water in all privacy. Jungsu saw she wasn’t completely fine. “I knew you’d come back. Your drink’s on the counter.” He said. Minzy gracefully sat down with a somewhat sad face. Or frustrated. Or frightened. She didn’t even know anymore. Maybe she looked cold, hard, and emotionless. She didn’t know. All she knew is she really wanted some distraction. Someone else to keep her mind on. Lately Minzy had more and more trouble to finish people who begged her not to kill them. It wasn't her style to shoot someone between the eyes while they were locked with hers. Neither was it her style to attack someone in the back. Especially this kid. He was only 21 and he had the bad luck that the stores he robbed belonged to one and the same gang. But it shouldn't have got him dead. From that moment, Minzy decided to work even harder to get her own safety and be able to leave the gang. Like that, she was sipping her Irish with these thoughts clouding her mind, and so she didn't see the foreigner that was on a small distance from her.
