not really sure how to feel about it.

it's spring '06. in the lecture hall of a comp 101 class, two passionate students sit beside each other. one student makes a joke about the professor's tufted hair, the other student fails to hold back a chuckle before whispering, "stooop!" the jokester places his hand over his mouth, failing to hide a smirk. a connection was formed.
it was when he first heard her snorty giggle; when he first felt her hand on his arm; when he first saw her tuck her hair behind her ear-----it was then that he knew that she meant more--far more--to him than merely his friend.
but his feelings for her were confusing and he was always too afraid to act on them. she was his friend, after all, and he appreciated the relationship that they already shared. though, he spent more than his fair share of moments daydreaming about a future they'd have together if he made a move; if he kissed her, if he told her how he really feels.
though, instead, he has to watch her cycle through guy after guy, heartbreak after heartbreak. hidden under the guise of a concerned friend--the idea that he is the shoulder that she can cry on--is the concern of a distant, unprovoked lover. but she's oblivious to the romantic ardor that he holds for her...
notes: this ad is for aria's best friend from college and current roommate. everything is open about him, except for me wanting him to be a bit of a goofball with a big heart. i have henry as the face and i'm pretty into him for his role, but if you have faces that you like more, let me know! also, they went to the same university and had some of the same classes, but he doesn't have to be a writer or artist of any sort! i'm definitely open to him being anything but, actually. but yeah!
i have another ad for aria's current lover, of sorts, and i think it would be an interesting dynamic to have her best friend be very sceptical and defensive of aria. i'm also not 100% into this best friend being her absolute final ship, but i'd be down to consider it after we write them out, build chemistry, and go through the woes of the plot.
