What would Nightmare do if someone tried to take away Dream's affection or directly try to sway Dream from caring for Nightmare? Queen Chrysalis kinda thing. Maybe convincing Dream Nightmare is a parasite in his brother's body or smth

He knows Dream’s heart is way too big (and in Nightmare’s eyes, he’s way too stupid) to truly stop caring about him

But he still wouldn’t appreciate the attempt, and he’d definitely be an asshole and do something fucked up just to prove a point, I like to think he’d target whoever is trying to sway Dream by hurting them badly in front of Dream, just to leave them there to try to sway Dream one more time

Only for Dream to still refuse to give up on his brother

Nightmare simply wants to show whoever tries to sway his brother away from him how pointless their attempts really are, he would know.. he’s been trying to have Dream give up on him for years
