I AM SO BEYOND EXCITED FOR THE OVERINVESTED EPISODE ABOUT BLACK PANTHER (BUT IF IT TURNS OUT THAT MORGAN DIDN'T LIKE IT IMMA RIOT)
Don’t worry, I liked it! We just recorded, episode coming soon. :)—Morgan

bmouse what are your thoughts on serendipity? i'm weeping and i need to commiserate with a jimin person and u articulate things so well. just OMG.
Hi! Oh man, I watched it when I was so asleep first thing this morning, mostly startled because I was thinking last night that it was two weeks so we might get teaser pics, but I forgot about how they do comeback trailers for the intro songs. So I was just kind of … this is … why is this a whole song? why is it just Jimin?? what? Lolol. So I have to rewatch it tonight when I’m more awake. It’s not Boy Meets Evil, but all of the Jimin being soft with bare feet and cats and things is obviously super appealing, and I’m delighted that he got the Intro this time around, go Jiminie. The song is really lovely, his voice is gorgeous, I’m listening to it again now. And I like the lyrics - which I’m told Namjoon wrote? ty Joons. Those stutters and the calico cat, and the sort of vulnerability and suggestion of submissiveness/responsiveness (When you call me, I am your flower.) If this comeback really is going to be an album of pop love songs, this one makes me hopeful that the gender/power dynamics might not be too standard and predictable. Anyway you should tell me more of the things you love about it, I’m here for all the excitement about this trailer!
do u think u guys would ever do a full episode on moonlight? i know you've discussed it briefly on a couple of eps, but i would really love to hear u both elaborate further on the movie
Probably not, I’m afraid! We don’t tend to revisit movies in multiple episodes, since we already have so many topics to cover. However, if we do a podcast about the director Barry Jenkins’ next movie, we’d definitely discuss Moonlight further in that episode. - Gavia
P.S. For other listeners: the two eps where we covered Moonlight were our pre- and post-Oscars podcasts.
congrats on finishing school!!! sending u all the positive vibes, hang in there :)
T____T i still got one more year darling. i’m just working over the summer in like a co-op job? like a placement type thing before i will finally be done school ;____; thank u for ur kindness!!!!!
i've only seen american gods through all the gorgeous gifsets on tumblr, but it looks amazing and i already have the overinvested ep queued up. but i was wondering do u have an shippy thoughts over any of the characters or is it not that kind of show for you?
not really? i quite like salim & the jinn, which is the only romantic kinda romance in the show, but otherwise American Gods doesn’t really feature any relationships that i… care about, very much? so it doesn’t inspire me to ship non-canon pairings either. my favourite *characters* are Salim and Anubis, though.Â
you might've already mentioned this and i just missed it, but how was your bts concert experience?
Aw hey, it was lovely! Notes:
I Need U was my favourite stage - it was beautiful and I had emotions about it being my first comeback as a fan. I’m really glad they’re still doing the full choreo in concerts.
The medley of early songs was aces, especially getting to see a bit of N.O which would definitely not happen otherwise.
The two extremely teenaged girls next to me didn’t have lightsticks so they’d brought along light-up sneakers to wave in the air.
The crowd wasn’t only teenaged but also it was SO TEENAGED. Far more than Big Bang or than VIXX in Tokyo, which are the only other kpop concerts I’ve been to.
I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the ‘just scream always’ philosophy of concert noise. There are other ways you can make noise at a concert that are a tiny bit nuanced! But there was a lot of energy and love.
Kind of delightful to get to see the ridiculous Spinebreaker outfits as actual Blood Sweat & Tears outfits as intended.
Jin called himself worldwide handsome on two separate occasions. Proud of him for knowing his worth and his memes.
Jimin ran over to fix Tae’s hair during his ment.
Sydney is a beautiful city to wander round for a day so that was lovely too.
