She raises her right hand revealing a set of keys. After trying two keys she gets the barred door open and goes in and sets to work on Chris' shackles. "We probably have less than ten minutes to get out of here without more of a fight," she chirps as she helps Chris to his feet. // i tried.

Chris was too tired and sore and utterly grateful to Gwen to bemoan the coming shitstorm of mockery he was in for when Peter got word of this. He winced as his wrists were freed from the shackles, welted and bruised from his struggles, and tried to ignore the way his blood rushed every which way, between his head and his legs and his hands, as he stood. "Then we should get going," he said. He'd find a way to thank her later. Right then, they needed to get out.

She paused, breathing wheezily into the phone. "I... I'm not gonna make it to our date, this weekend. I'm not gonna make it home. I just... I- shit-" Tears were leaking down her face, at this point, as blood trailed out from the corner of her mouth. There was a gaping hole in her torso, and she was alone. "I... I love you, ya stupid baldy... I-I'm sorry... I wasn't strong enough." She closed her tearing eyes, feeling lightheaded from the blood loss. "Take care of my ducklings, alright? ...And make sure they don't dress me in something lame." She meant for what she'd be buried in.

"I'm scared... but maybe there is a God somewhere out there... maybe I'll see ya again someday, with yer stupid... long hair... and you actually being an angel... for real-......" Her voice trailed off, growing noticeably more and more weaker until the end. The rest of the voice mail was in silence, before the phone cut her off.
