What does your username mean? Leader In Crows/ Leaderin’ Crows? I am bamboozled

Oh leading up to Sylus' release there was this Instagram post about going to college for crows or something. Getting a degree in crows. The last line of the post was something like "you too can be a leader in crows" so I made that throwaway line my whole identity 🐦‍⬛

I'm always amazed by your art but the times that it seriously hits me is whenever you pull up with fully rendered scales. like???? genuinely how did you do that???? where do you find the focus and patience and dedication to finish all that off??? pls enlighten me

O thank you anon!!! Scales are the kind of tedious that I really enjoy. I've been keeping a wide variety of reptiles for the last 13ish years so I look at scales A LOT.

It's really satisfying to do scales, it itches my brain so good. They can be shiny and soft and reflect lots of color and light or they can be dull and jagged and u can just make that shit up!! They can be uniform or erratic! Dragons and humanoids with scales aren't real you can do whatever you want!!!! It's legal!!!!

I have this quick guide I made a few years ago if anyone wants it. My scales look kinda janky in this phase yet because I correct them when I paint over them
