chris is the type of employee to constantly spill and drop various sauces and oil that always throws the shift behind by an hour or two for clean up and before randy benson would just leave at his designated time he doesnt care if chris and whoever stay to clean he didn't make the fuckin mess and plus hes pissed cause he did just fucking mop that floor but whatever 🙄
but when randy comes around chris always forces him to be the one to stay and clean it and randy ends up staying an hour or two later scrubbing and mopping the floor and kinda also gettung caught up in cleaning other things cause wow this place is dirty and benson notices and starts hanging back offers a mop in silent agreement he'll stay and help ... a little mostly hes here to watch randy who seems the most relaxed hes seen him lost in the world of cleaning and he cant help the soft smile hidden beneath the shadow of his hat they dont talk randy will sometimes sheepishly ask if benson can move or help him with something and benson always obliges finds he doesnt mind randy taking albeit a more tender control of the situation like a gentle tug on a mutt encountering them to follow and benson does more in the store than he cared to befoee he still doesnt csre but randys eyes shine and he stumbles over words as he explains new charts or his way of organizing the dry and cold storage labels and dates its the first thing randys seem to care about seem confident in and benson feels something warm settle in his chest like flames clinging to burnt embers but wonders if randy really cares about this stuff is doing it cause he wants to or simply receiving praise from hardy
he gets his answer when all hardy does is ask more of randy than the others tells him it could always be better and randy doesnt seem ... that effected like he knew hardy wouldnt care not really doesnt shine like he does when he talks to benson and selfishly benson wants it to be simply cause its only for benson
