Ahnu wanders into yet more ruins, but the decimated ground they tread proves a tad more sacred than the remains of the average villages or outposts they've come across before. But, before Ahnu can think too hard about what they've begun to discover there, the otherworldly glow from a nearby mountain suitably distracts them from an uncomfortable, unfortunate realization.
Chapter 32!!
Only one more chapter before I’m through with the parts that were hells to write!
Ahnu meets up with Kass yet again, and against his better judgement and recommendations, they elect to explore Mt. Lanayru on little more than a passing whim, as per the usual--which turns out to have been the biggest mistake of their new-life thus far.
Whoo! Month five begins now! I’ve got some art I’ll post that’s relevant to this chapter!
I also think I’ll be updating my tags and chapter listings to reference what arc of the story we’re on. All I’ll say for now is that we’re still on first arc, of what will eventually be around eight. I DID say this fic would be over two million words after all, and were only almost at 200K.
Arc I: Repudiation
Ahnu makes the unfortunate decision of trying to complete two Shrines in a single day, and is forced to contemplate things regarding the nature of trials, the Monks who made them, and the Goddess that ordained them.
