Job training, jobs, family counseling, inferior schools, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and police brutality must be addressed. OTR is a tale of two worlds: Black vs. White. Many people fail to recognize the collateral damage caused by institutional racism on Black communities. We cannot address this issue until America acknowledges that oppression and white privilege have created generations of suffering for Black individuals, largely due to systemic mistreatment. White-on-Black violence is comparable to Black-on-Black violence, as one often initiates the other.
