Anybody else following #usaswimsquads ? It’s basically #fantasyswimming w/ the winning squad captain earning $10K for their designated charity. 3 of the 4 captains are playing for cancer charities so that’s awesome. I’m torn because we all know #NathanAdrian is my favorite, but I’ve been a #NatalieCoughlin fan for longer than I care to admit. Suffice it to say it was long before I knew Nathan existed, and I’m dying to meet her because it hasn’t happened yet sooo... yeah... And normally I root for whichever team my #Calympians belong to but #KaitlinSandeno has #JacobPebley on her squad and #LennyKrayzelburg has #AnthonyErvin on his team. But yeah, why does #JasonLezak have so many #GoldenBears on his squad and why can’t I find him on IG?!? Either way, I hope this gets more people interested in following the #swimming events throughout the year. I’m sold, but I was a pretty big #swimfan to begin with 😬 Who’s squad do you think will win? And will Natalie and Jason go through with trades as mentioned during the draft? 🤔 #GoBears 💙🐻

"Hi I'm Tony" is how @anthonyervin very enthusiastically introduced himself when I first met him. Very few athletes win an Olympic medal, let alone a gold one. Tony won an Olympic gold medal in 2000, and what blew me away was that he auctioned it off to help raise money to aid the people affected by the 2004 tsunami that hit Indonesia. I thought that was such a heroic and selfless act. For an athlete to give up what they worked so hard for. When he first sat for me we talked about that, he was extremely humble & quickly dismissed his act of compassion by saying "that was so long ago." He sat for me twice. This was our 2nd portrait session. This time I brought an American flag. Which fit Tony perfect because he's an American hero for all his done, has been through and accomplished. It brings me so much joy that he won 2 more gold medals in #rio2016 at the age of 35, becoming the oldest individual Olympic swimming gold medalist! Tony, the kindness, class and compassion you have is timeless. I applaud you! Meeting people like you is the reason why I love being a portrait photographer. #usaswimming #anthonyervin
