Quite literally if Bright wasn't "baby's first named staff" for almost everyone in this fandom, he would have almost no fans. His source material is so poorly written that only memes kept up his popularity. AB couldn't even get their own story straight when asked, that's how little thought was put into it. The Bright family plot is literally a nacho of angstslop used as a vehicle for the salsa that is the author's poorly disguised fetish. That stupid list should have been aborted before it was even posted.
There is a universe where everyone is instead inexplicably enamored by Dr King and it is a happier world than this one.

You CANNOT claim to care about victims of grooming/sexual abuse but then continue to use "Jack Bright". The character was used to GROOM PEOPLE. But noooooooo people want their "uwu quirky chain-saw loving sad angst immortal senpai" so they keep making cute art of him while "denouncing" the actions of the author.
Let the character DIE already. He was a pawn for sexual abuse. He is not your "blorbo" he is a monster's bait. How do you think the REAL VICTIMS of AdminBright feel when you make "quirky" art of Bright? How would you feel if someone made "quirky" art of a character someone used you hurt you?

long rant because this has been pissing me off I see people say they rewrote jack bright, but then keep his name completely the same. I’m going to be mean but. Do you not know what a rewrite is and why the rewrites for bright exist? Are you dumb? You know one of the main reasons for rewrites existing is to change the name and possession to make it so admin bright doesn’t have power in the fandom anymore through jack bright. Keeping his name means you are giving admin bright power. its so fucking dumb to call it a “rewrite”, to me it just seems like you want the goody points of being able to say “oh no! It’s not the character that was used in the abuse and the character that was used to get victims! Look I rewrote it!” Then not change the biggest thing that needs to be changed which is the name. It’s so fucking insensitive, actually just use the character instead of acting like your on some high horse for calling it a rewrite when you didn’t even BOTHER to look at what jack bright rewrites should have, because you DIDNT rewrite him. You are literally just using the same character with headcanons. Don’t call it what it isn’t. I also think if you’re not going to listen to people outright telling you about this, then you just clearly don’t actually care about why he needs to be rewritten and then why even bother calling it a rewrite?
