"Seeing Stars" - When I was done with Helluva Boss (Part 2/2)
Meanwhile, Loona is chilling around L.A. . In Helluva Boss, no one cares for Octavia. Loona go to search for her only because she took a pricture of herself to post on Instagram, scrolled and found Octavia's posts by pure coincidence. I have nothing to say.
So, Loona finds Octavia and has a talk with her (so finally the fans who wanted an interaction between them can be happy). Octavia vents about how Stolas shows no sign of care or affection towards her (because he's more busy arguing with Stella than the fact that he's obsessed at being with Blitzo), Loona tells her that Stolas loves her regardless, which logically Octavia points out that she went to find her and not him.
No no, I'm with Octavia about it. Ok, Stolas's powers are limited, but if he can transform himself into a human, he sure must have other abilities somehow. Heck, he and Blitzo could have simply escaped from the studio way before the producer could have shouted "Action!". He could have left the studio while Blitzo was acting. Instead, he prioritized Blitzo's acting over his quest for his daughter who could have got in danger in the human world (you know, like getting kidnapped by a DHORKS agent or some crazy scientist who could have used her as a guinea pig for some experiments). I'm pretty sure that no sane parent would have done that.
Loona doesn't know about Stolas except that he exploits Blitzo sexually, but still prefers to defend him with the speech "fathers do what they can" clearly thinking about Blitzo who gifted her a lighter.
What a nice speech and what a nice scene, how about ruining it by having Loona kick Blitzo in the balls the moment they reunite?
Loona, Blitzo adopted you because you were about to get "taken out", he let you sleep in his bedroom while he sleeps on the couch, he gave you a home to stay, he's probably overprotecting but in the end he lets you socialize with everyone else like a normal person. He just wanted to have a serious talk with you because you are rude and aggressive. You should be grateful that he hasn't "taken you out" yet, as anyone would do to their dogs with rabies or those too hard to tame.
Look, I'm not saying that Blitzo is a great father, is actually terrible too because he's way too much patronizing to the point of sounding like a scripted robot with her (heck he would be the classical father who spoils his daughter), but compared to Stolas who remembers about Octavia only when she's tired of his bullcrap, he actually look way better! I'm sure that if he adopts Jinx from League of Legends or Junkrat from Overwatch, they wouldn't kick his balls in return!
Seriously, this scene made me HATE Loona as a character. This is because her only character moment we saw of her was in episode 3 of season 1 where she had a crush on Vortex, and frankly I would have liked to see more of them like Loona learning about her hellhound powers ect. Her scene with Octavia gave her character. But for the rest of the show, Loona is nothing but a "I don't care" kind of character with some anger issues, and this episode only showed the worst of her.
What makes things worse is that apparently this scene is now a bad memory for Blitzo as it is confirmed in Ghostfuckers, Loona just traumatized him for absolutely no reason.
Honestly, at this point Vortex just dodged a bullet by not having a relationship with her in the end, she would have been a very toxic girlfriend. And Octavia should stay away from someone who tells her to "forgive her father" and then kicking the balls of her "father" because she's angry at him for getting criticized once.
Also, for Vivziepop, don't tell me that Loona deep down cares about Blitzo when you put this "gag" in Mastermind.
Loona doesn't have a character except being an angry bitch designed for some furry baiting, honestly. She'll forever be popular on R34 sites only.
Ok, after this rant, Octavia finally reunites with Stolas and forgives him for breaking the promise (of course she will). While Loona keeps being violent towards Blitzo. Aww, can't you see that she's just a little tsundere? If she decapitates Blitzo I'm sure that she has no ill will and she just loves him deep down (inhale exhale)
But that's ok, they can see the fireworks and confuse those for the stars that Octavia wanted to see.
Because yes, I guess that artificial is superior than natural. Well, now you got your answers. Do you want a fiancee? A good memory? Create a masterpiece? Use AI.
They don't know what fireworks are?
What is that then?!
Ok, maybe I'm just misreading the whole firework scene.
So they go back home with Moxxie full of prizes that he won in the indie zone and stuff that he bought from indie creators until another indie creator asks him to buy his demo and Millie kills him to drag Moxxie in the portal.
And that's about it.
Screw this episode.
Screw Stolas.
And most importantly, screw Loona.
Loona was very unlikable here and for absolutely no reason to be because it is not even like she understands that Blitzo is the only one enduring her. The episode is more focused on Stolas and Blitzo hot for each other than the fact that Octavia was feeling ignored by her father. It also wants to make us think that the problem that Octavia had was Stolas focusing on arguing with Stella, only to show in the very same episode that he prioritizes Blitzo over his daughter. Moxxie and Millie are just cardboard cutouts here. This episode probably summarizes everything that's wrong with Helluva Boss (well, until Sinsmas).
Why even making another episode about Stolitz? And also, why do they behave towards each other as if nothing happened in the Ozzie episode? What was this episode even supposed to be about?
