"We felt like we had told the O/L story in season 1, and we had no intention of getting them back together. We never felt like we had to kill off LL to put an end to that story." THANK YOU FOR FINALLY SAYING THAT MARC! Proof that 1) The OL/LL love story ended a LONG time ago. 2) LL was never a threat to Olicity. So to all those people thinking that we Olicity fans wanted LL dead because she was a threat to our ship can stop now.
Feeling a little paranoid....
I'm getting a few Laurel Lance fans following me lately & I'm worried that the follow is an attempt to later accost me. I don't want to be attacked later by the "defense squad" who think I'm pro-LL when I thought I had made it pretty clear I'm anti-LL. Most of the Arrow blogs I follow talk a lot about Oliver & Diggle & Felicity. Theyre pro-Team Arrow, pro-Olicity, pro-Diggle, pro-Felicity, & basically just PRO-ARROW. They're blogs that are excited about season 4. Blogs that love the show & praise the show where praising is justified while also calling out problematic BS. They admit when they're being biased but can also admit that certain characters deserve more. They give their opinions about plots, story arcs, characters, & scenes & explain why they feel & think the way do & encourage discussions. They are blogs that are excited for the show. They are blogs that are positive & creative & wonderful. They are basically blogs that (from my experience) most, if not all, Laurel Lance fans hate. Blogs that the "defense squad" make an effort to mock & discredit & goad & unashamedly want to fight to "bring them down a notch". I don't want to spend my time arguing about a show with you. I want to spend my time talking about a show we both enjoy. I want to hear your thoughts & see your creativity inspired by a show we both enjoy. I want to be excited for your achievements because we became friends through a show we both enjoy. I don't mind the follow. I thank you for the follow. I am grateful for the follow. I am humbled by the follow. If I'm doing or saying anything that you relate to, I'm glad. You're not alone. You never will be. But I'm hoping that the follow is a genuine one & not a veiled one.
So…I'm taking a break from Arrow until my rage over last nights episode has cooled off. I can't even enjoy the dream kiss.
I was already done with them trying to prop L through Felicity and Diggle and the LL/Dig scene/hug at the end of last episode and I knew this episode was going to be bad - but this was insulting to the viewers and the show and it's characters itself. Trying to make a dysfunctional character work and force her "comic destiny" by discrediting Oliver (and his journey so far), Felicity and Diggle - who were AGAIN being dumbed down to prop a "mask" and made accomplices in further lying to Quentin about Sara's death (which is one the most disgusting things the show has done).
