Hello, I appreciate you tutorial for Anti-Whitewashing ft OFMD, but I’m also interested in anime and was wondering if those steps works for colouring anime gifs? 

If not would you please consider posting tutorial for colouring anime gifs and dark scenes.

But basically, yeah those steps will definitely work for anime as well! Personally, I feel like the biggest issue with anime (in my experience) is that anime gets a little yellow instead of red like with live action, so you can use the same steps on the yellow hue/sat layer to help with that.

Also, something I've started doing in the last year or so is adjusting the red on the Levels adjustment layer. The left side of the slider will decrease and the right side increases.

Also also, since most anime characters are poc and end up being lightened in anime vs the manga (like zoro and usopp), I do tend to increase the warmth of their skin tones to match a little better. I'm still working the kinks out of that though, I haven't gotten it to a point that I consistently like.
