I find myself rooting for the the characters we're supposed to hate

The scene when Aelin and her court met with Darrow and the Lords. I was completely on Darrow's side. Aelin doesn't know how to lead a kingdom. He completely checked her. Do Y'all really think that a emotionally and hormonal unstable half fae with fire powers that was trained to be an assassin with a temper is fit to be a queen lead an entire kingdom.

Right, listen, there is EoS as it happened, right, with its hetero WHYness. And then there is EoS in my head. And in it Elide and Lorcan are chill friends who help each other cross the vast distance that they do and there is no sexual tension or oily appreciation there is just. Grumpy bros who get shit done (this could have been such a beautiful salty friendship. Instead I am the one that is salty) Anyway, Elide runs dramatically into Manon’s arms and there’s a lot of making out and Dorian is just like applauding in the background because mhm, you go get your girl witch I have bonded with without fucking once. And then maybe Lorcan/Asterin happens because I’m still garbage for that. EITHER WAY. There are gay ladies. That is all that matters in this world. All is well. 

That’s how I’m dealing with this nonsense. Sadly I just don’t think canon is going to deliver. We have to do this shit ourselves.
