I’ve been meaning to keep a public running list of the headlines, etc. that are synchronous with the ‘attacks’ I left on the Heritage Witch effigy. While I have to play a little catch-up, especially with the flood of news coming in every day, I’ll do my best to keep this list updated from now on under the cut!

On a private magical server, a friend asked, “How do you curse a curse?”
While it was actually meant in jest, referring to someone who is ‘a plague’ (who may or may not use Cheeto dust as setting powder) it ended up sparking a conversation on approaches to political magic, particularly magic directed as this particular individual.
Political magic, and specifically Anti-Trump magics, is certainly not a new concept. Ever since Trump campaigned for this first presidential term, magic practitioners have been directing energy towards thwarting his agenda (with some intentions more lethal than others)—but then why is he back in office and, arguably, doing more harm this time around?
Note: These are my personal opinions and I am by no means disparaging anyone’s approach to magic. My argument under the cut is based on my observations over the last few presidential terms. I hope this initiates more conversations and action around this topic.
Sometime in July of 2024, a user on r/WitchesVsPatriarchy asked for advice regarding a freezer spell they were planning:
So, today is the first day of the waning moon. I was thinking of doing a freezer spell by writing Trump and Project 2025 (maybe also Trump supporters and GOP) on a piece of paper, sticking it into my Yoghurt drink bottle, drown it in water and freeze it.
What do you think? Is today a good day? Should I write those on the paper? Any other tips?
While many encouraged OP, and shared their own workings against Trump, others said spells are just a waste of time because he is seemingly untouchable:
I hate to say this, but don't do magic against him. He has a form of protection surrounding him that feeds off of magic done against him. You will have better results if you focus your magic on helping his opponent or protecting yourself and others. I wish it would work to bind him or do a freezer spell, but you will only be helping him.
And based on my observations, I largely agree with this sentiment. While I’m not 100% convinced of that magic-eating force field, I do think that more practical/sympathetic approaches of getting to him magically are moot at best.
I think that most folks will remember this Trump binding spell that was making the rounds periodically since his first presidential campaign. While there are some elements of this that are smart (especially the effort to repeat the spell en masse at certain moon phases), the 1:1 magical associations made are at the same time too played out and too vague for shutting down someone like Trump; while he is incredibly narcissistic and quick to anger, jabs at his appearance (and—every fiber of my being is retching as type this—his dick) are frankly not enough to create a meaningful lock onto him; and just calling for general upheaval and disarray of his plans emphasizes the Left’s inability to target and carry out specific, attainable goals as a collective.
Note: This is not to say cursing and binding spells are ineffective but I think they have a better efficacy rate when the magician understands that these techniques are for their personal protection and wellbeing rather than to cause harm unto others.
The other side to this argument is that Trump and many of his closest supporters are not unaware of magical thinking. Gary Lachman in his 2018 book Dark Star Rising: Magick and Power in the Age of Trump provides a pretty comprehensive analysis of Trump’s history with New Thought and Reverend Norman Vincent Peale (the author of The Power of Positive Thinking, 1952) and their connection to the Christian Science movement as well as how certain esoteric philosophies and teachings have influenced postmodern magics, particularly in the Alt-Right.
While I could certainly go on about particular figures and practices referenced throughout Dark Star Rising, I wanted to at least mention the fact that Trump utilizes magical thinking daily and his personal work (a practice of affirming and actualizing, not unlike the work outlined by many shifters I see on this platform, that he has been honing since childhood) is bolstered by not only his supporters across the country but also through the efforts of Evangelicals and Christian Scientists as well as by meme magic utilized by Alt-Right magicians.
If we want to be able to break down his defenses and influence, I cannot stress enough that we need to reevaluate our approaches and organize calculated, multi-pronged initiatives.
I think there is a lot of value in looking to the work British witches did during World War II to hinder Hitler and stop invasions. I will not defend all of the things the likes of Gardner, Fortune, Blavatsky, and even Aleister Crowley wrote but it stands to reason that they were able to coordinate powerful magical efforts that had documented political influence. Even with this in mind, we have a responsibility to continue to innovate magically and be able to rise to a level of organization that has not been done on the Left to date.

While I haven’t posted many updates regarding the Walpurgisnacht working here, suffice to say I’ve definitely been noting significant results! But as I noted in my original pamphlet (linked above), the Heritage Witch is a formidable foe that cannot easily be defeated—even with many magicians working to thwart it.
That being said, I got a tip recently from a fellow magician regarding an influential figure who has been bolstering Trump and the MAGA movement magically. And while I would not normally advocate for less experienced magicians to pursue magical combat with such an individual, I believe this target has a major flaw that can be exploited.

As stated in the Witch Cards in my pamphlet, Into the Labyrinth of the Heritage Witch, the role of the minions of the Heritage Witch is to prayerize, picturize, and actualize the wishes of their master. To this end, none are more suited to this than magicians and spiritual leaders.
As someone who has been involved with several magical organizations (and is friends with people who are part of many others), I can speak from experience that these groups can easily turn into cults of personality and can sour by aligning with dangerous ideologies. Ceremonial magick groups, in particular, are militaristic (usually enforced through an initiatory structure) and can easily become authoritarian, even though many tout the importance of individual power and freedom.
The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is without a doubt one of the most influential fraternal organizations in occult history. While lineage is murky at best at present, there are several organizational entities around the world purporting legitimacy while drawing magicians in with the popularization of self-initiation.
Our target, David Griffin, is a magician associated with the Golden Dawn who has gained prominence through his authorship of magical texts such as The Ritual Magic Manual which advertises a complete course in practical and ceremonial magick.
Griffin is the current Imperator of the European Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and is reported to be a major Trump supporter—even going to far as to protect him from magical attacks. While there is not a lot of biographical information floating around about him, he seems to fairly regularly post on Facebook through the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and seemingly hosts daily live webinars with his cohort Leslie McQuade. Despite his allegiances, Griffin has been known for a long time by occultists to be volatile and potentially dangerous.
If you are interested in learning more about how we can jam his signal, and feel you are up to the task, send me a message! While Griffin and McQuade are probably not Tumblr users, I’m sure there are members of the Golden Dawn on the site who support their work and it would probably be smart to keep details in closed channels for the time being!
I’m getting prepared to immolate the Walpurgisnacht effigy of the Heritage Witch and I wanted to document my experiences with the working so far.

After the initial steps of establishing the elements of the working, fleshing out the world-building, and then sharing the steps and concepts across several platforms, I finally sat down to prepare my own ‘attacks’ on the 16th of April.
I consulted my deck of Clow and Clear Card-inspired entities and created five collage-based sigils. Since the ‘attacks’ were created, I believe the cards have shown me that they are ready to launch by signaling with a high-profile event corresponding to each sigil (not in chronological order):
