well you actually asked the right person cause i’ve read that book three times! i’ve read that post on tumblr too which says that it’s from notre dame des fleurs, i can’t make up many words from pete’s little french speech BUT i hear a quite distinct “rose mystique” and let me tell you that there are no mystic roses in that book. i suspect that it’s from the miracle of the rose, but i still need to read it. (fuck i accidentally published this instead of answering privately, if you want me to take it down just tell me okay?)
