It occurs to me I have very few winter-appropriate dresses.
By this I don't mean "fur lined dresses" or "GORE-TEX dresses", though I imagine the latter would be super sexy. I just mean "dresses I could conceivably wear with dark tights and shoes." I wear dresses and skirts nigh on exclusively in the summer but I only bust them out very rarely in the winter. When we're in London next week we're going to tea and it's fancy but it's daytime fancy. And it's February. My mental outfit rolodex is coming up well short of dress options. I'll probably end up wearing this gray 1950s-ish dress with some sheer black swiss-dot tights and a shrunken black cardigan, but I think that's not enough color for daytime? Or I could wear this pale pink dress with the exact same array of accessories, but the trouble with that is everyone (or at least Kat and S) has already seen me in that dress! I guess I will pack both.
