Anti-solar cells: A photovoltaic cell that works at night
What if solar cells worked at night? That's no joke, according to Jeremy Munday, professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC Davis. In fact, a specially designed photovoltaic cell could generate up to 50 watts of power per square meter under ideal conditions at night, about a quarter of what a conventional solar panel can generate in daytime, according to a concept paper by Munday and graduate student Tristan Deppe. The article was published in, and featured on the cover of, the January 2020 issue of ACS Photonics.

Glory Abstract - Abstract color photograph of the upper segment of glory against a cloudy sky. A glory is an optical phenomenon that resembles an iconic saint's halo about the shadow of the observer's head, caused by light of the Sun or (more rarely) the Moon interacting with the tiny water droplets that make up mist or clouds. The glory consists of one or more concentric, successively dimmer rings, each of which is red on the outside and bluish towards the centre. Due to its appearance, the phenomenon is sometimes mistaken for a circular rainbow, but the latter has a much larger diameter and is caused by different physical processes (Wikipedia).

Crepuscular Rays is Atmospheric Optics of Sunlight appear to Radiate From the Point in the Sky Where Sun is Located.
Crepuscular rays are also called as “Sun rays” in atmospheric optics, are actually rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from the point in the sky where the sun is located. These rays, which stream through gaps in clouds mainly stratocumulus or between other objects, are columns of sunlit air separated by darker cloud-shadowed regions. In spite of seeming to converge at a point, the rays are…
