yES the way lily absolutely roasted The Creature and got her point across with words. and the way she's so fierce both mentally and physically is GOOD i love that??? vanessa is so under appreciated like shes the main character and shes gone through so muxh and u know i loved her relationship with the cut wife. she went through hell and lost her family and best friend but still showed mercy go the cut wife and the poor women who'd come for abortions... the whole mssg in this show is just great

it’s just so beautiful and intricate and just needs more recognition i just can’t stress it enough how amazing penny dreadful is

yeah omg im so glad that they kind of touched on mental illness and trauma bc so many shows just skip that??? and its good bc it shows how vanessa is trying to come to terms with her illness instead of becoming an asshat bc there have been way to many cases where a mentally ill character turns into a serial killer or sth.

vanessa is just an all round amazing character??? i totally agree, she channels any negativity into doing something that will help??? i don’t understand why the show doesn’t get any recognition for just her alone??? like don’t even get me started on how lily wouldn’t take being objectified by victor or dorian and took matters into her own hands like honestly man, this show is beyond words

i mean those characters are deffo v sick but yeah i feel as though we do need more female characters since many women have died like mina, angelique (:-() and malcolm's wife. BUT yes eva was BORN for vanessa and omg yes vanessa's childhood and friendship w mina was. amazing. dorian gray is so interesting bc hes so unpredictable + innocent looking??? im so sad abt sembene tho bc i rly rly liked him. actually there were some evil girls but only hecate's left bc she set fire to her house right?

yeah one of the only faults is the lack of female characters and poc (bc sembene and angelique are obviously gone which is hella sad) yeaaah hecate is pretty awesome so i hope she becomes a regular??? that would be really cool??? and i’m also really looking forward to going into vanessa’s treatment in a mental health ward a bit more as well because that is so heartbreaking and this show is so underrated and needs awards asap
