I guess it is unfair to judge people for their terrible beliefs that they made terrible choices because of and have made no attempt to make amends for?

i understand its ..importance but i dont understand why people would “enjoy” it? , its so unsettling , a show about a suicide victim sending tapes explaining the reasons its just ..

see, my sister watched it, and hated it, and she’s been telling me the plot so I’m sure i’m biased and missing more than a few nuances. i can’t watch it. sending the tapes to ‘explain why’...no. i get that one of the messages of the show is ‘one small moment can ruin somebody else’s life’ but no, I can’t. so many of the plot points just freak me out. i understand that some of the kids were awful and deserved to be called out, but i just. can’t even express myself apparently.

and the way the show presents itself...there’s a certain lack of responsibility to it. Teenage depression, all depression, suicide itself, is very serious, and it’s a serious show, but I don’t think this tackles it the right way.

I kind of wonder if people realize that the cinnamon roll metric is not one you can apply to like actual people.
