so i'm still reading and i just love the whole rainbow-tied into emotions idea because even though i always see it used it's hardly ever addressed by characters and i like how like just the atmosphere has colors. and i love the part with patricia's hair streaks and her emotions like A++ on that, that was awesome. and the bet. although it took me a while to understand (bc i couldnt figure out what they were actually /betting/) i cant wait to see how its going to turn out.
i just found this in my inbox and even though i know the ending wasn't what anyone was hoping for, i still really appreciate these really nice messages and i'm so glad people noticed the the colors tbh, especially with patricia, and ahhh i've had this for a year i guess now and just thank you!

anubisvibes replied to your post “I SHOULD HAVE I KNOW, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL. bc i was doing all the ships from the mini me tag and then i almost forgot about mara and nina entirely but then i kept reading over laura's fics and i had like an epiphany of some sort and i just created the whole nara backstory and i ended up laugh-crying at my computer bc i couldnt believe i forgot about nara. and ah thank you so much! :D”
THAT'S A GOOD THING RIGHT. i think it's a good thing. WAIT THE ONLY ONE I THINK I'VE READ IS VIV'S bc you recommended me to viv's fics one time and i think now i'm going to go on a quest to find the others bc i'm really curious now
hah definitely a good thing. and i think Viv, Laura, and I are the only ones who have written Nina/Mara but I could be wrong.

THE FACT THAT PEOPLE OTHER THAN LAURA, VIV, SARA, AND I HAVE NINA/MARA BACKSTORY THOUGH
Hey, Danielle. Happy hoaexchange! And thanks for the thing you gave me. I might actually make a series of these things? But I hope you like this one, despite it being kinda short.
A young Willow Jenks skipped around, smiling brightly and overly-prepared for her first class of the year. Her bag was filled to the brim with sparkly new pencils and unicorn-adorned folders, her hair was tied in its trademark braids, and her uniform was brand new and properly ironed. Everything was perfect and happy in her world.
The other students took notice of this. This girl was too happy and childish for a fourteen year old. Who did she think she was? She wasn’t ten years old.
Jerome Clarke didn’t know much about this girl besides for that she was fairly new and that she wanted to be in Anubis House for some reason. And that she never, never cried. Not even when people picked on her or stole her shiny pencils or subtly tried to stick gum in her hair. He couldn’t say he didn’t think some of these pranks were funny. He couldn’t even say he hadn’t tried to help. But she would always grin at him stupidly whenever he tried to smirk. This girl didn’t break. At all. She had even earned the nickname “Never-Weeping Willow” for it.
And then one day she did.
Jerome and Alfie walked around outside, looking for a good place to play a prank. They needed a tree that they could tie a bucket to that would fall easily on Patricia and Amber.
“You know, I don’t know if I really want to make Amber too mad. I want her to like me.”
“Trust me,” Jerome said. “This’ll make her fall for you fast.”
Really, it wouldn’t do anything but make a bunch of water spill on her head, but Alfie wasn’t exactly the smoothest person on the planet. Besides, he was willing to try anything, pranks were fun, and he trusted Jerome for the most part.
They were setting up their amazing prank when they heard it. A small sob, coming from another direction. Alfie turned to see who it was. To his—and Jerome’s—surprise, it was Willow. Never-Weeping Willow. The girl who was always so happy was now sad.
“You know, you could always cry under the weeping willow tree. The pun addicts would love you.” Jerome glanced over.
She raised her head and looked straight into his eyes, trying to smile.
“Like I don’t know about the stupid nicknames. Anyway, my aura is off…”
And with that, she stopped crying.
Neither Jerome nor Alfie ever found out what she was crying about, but maybe it didn’t matter. They had somehow managed to cheer her up. And they took new appreciation of the nickname after that, even though she wasn’t in any of their classes the next year.
so i started reading 'one temporary escape' and its really good and wow okay now i cannot stop reading it. i say this alot but you're really fantastic at writing. DON'T EVER STOP CAUSE YOU'RE AWESOME.
So today must be "be nice to Shruti day" which I wholeheartedly approve of because I really needed it BUT YEAH THANK YOU SO MUCH.
And yeah if you guys keep giving me good feedback on OTE I might actually finish it because most of me feels like no one would want it finished since it's so old? But I know that's true because, well, Grace.
