#6 Anujin

Major props to Anujin for actually interacting with the set this week, it makes this picture stand out from the pack. I definitely love the setting here, and I like how it tells a story. I see a sailor getting ready to throw the anchor, and I actually quite like that. Anyways, let’s start with the first thing I notice when I look at this picture: her height. I think the camera angle did play a part in that (the other girls seemed to be photographed from an angle), but she should’ve worked with that, as she looks a tad short here. That’s really my only complaint though. I LOVE her face here! This hair is truly how you transform a girl into a high fashion model and it accentuates her features in all the right ways - her cheekbones especially. I think the looking away from the camera expression works really well here too, as it already looks like she’s doing something and it adds to the story. I really like this shot!

#8 Anujin (right)

Anujin dissapointed me this week, especially after such a flawless performance last week. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s a pretty good shot, but it just doesn’t live up to my expectations. Let’s start with what I like about it; I totally get what she’s going for, and the rough/energetic vibe is really working for me. It shows in both the pose and the face. However, I guess that’s also something I don’t like: she’s lost her model composure for me. While she’s doing a great job at portraying the theme, I don’t think it’s particularly modelesque. She looks pretty short, even while sitting down, and I guess I just wanted it to be a little more polished. Individually, neither Suvda or Anujin blew me away, but as a whole, I think this shot actually works for some reason.

#1 Anujin

The absolute best shot of 2018, and one of the best in NTM HISTORY! There, I said it. For a girl to produce a shot like THIS in the first week, that’s just natural talent. She’s going to go FAR, I’m telling you! I’ve seen all the comments, and there is honestly not one person who doesn’t adore this shot - absolutely no negatives from me. Anujin managed to create a perfect mix of fashion, commercialness and art - which is really all I was looking for this shoot, or any shoot. I think her body positioning and the angle of photography is so interesting here! It must honestly take so much strength to say afloat in water in such a contorted position, but all I see is grace. I actually love how she DIDN’T use her hands here, while that’s been a negative for me this week for other girls, it just pulls attention to her face here, which is the showstopper. She has the perfect bone structure to pull off an angle like this, I mean just look at her cheekbones! That amazing sharp jawline! The intensity but also emotion in her eyes! Her skin is also just glowing, which means she’s doing a great job at selling the product. I’m just blown away by this shoot, and this shot in particular. BRAVO!
