A nostalgic Assassins Creed post
Man, I forgot how much work was required playing the Assassins Creed games prior to AC3, before Anvil Next. The climbing and free running needs more button control, and the combat has left me wounded badly a few times. I've even tried to do Unarmed Assassinations, take cover in Stalking Zones like a corner, and even Spin over fences. Know what though? I'm not complaining. I missed this old engine. I used to say that Anvil Next had made the game way too easy for fans and decided it was something for the newcomers. But I was wrong. It has it's great features like the corner kills, and the spinning over fences. It has its flaws of course (horse control, the one button to freerun, the feeling of 100% control of the character being taken away) but still, the changes had to be made for the progression of the time. However, It's great to come back and have to be tested in gameplay in the games I love.
