This trip started out very well, and has been steadily going downhill. I guess I forgot that coming to Atlanta will never truly be a vacation from real-life, but rather a step back into the real world to face my old demons. As hard as my life gets sometimes down in Brunswick, I’m still glad to have that overall mental/emotional vacation from the very real things here, things that I can put off/ignore when I’m 500 miles away.
This past week has been, and the weeks coming up will be, a true test of patience and faith for me. And a reminder to never get too comfortable with being happy, or even content.
