Since my comic includes not only more introduction for Fiona but also backstory (btw the first page is in full process incase you're wondering) I have to pick up on really complicated stuff...

THE AGES (⁠╯⁠°⁠□⁠°⁠）⁠╯⁠︵⁠ ⁠┻⁠━⁠┻

And with that I mean making everything make sense from the day Fiona was imprisoned, WHEN robotnik I actually used auto Fiona on tails, and so on and on. So let's start from the top:

I am taking the older flashback of Fiona, as it tells us that she was imprisoned for 2 long years. Yeah, we gotta remember that ok keep that in mind.

And we know she's born in 3221, she's about 5 years older than tails, which means tails is born in 3215

And my guess would be that Fiona, around the time she met mighty again, would be fourteen years old, bare with me I'm trying to think this out okay🙏🥲.

Let's go with the guess that when Fiona was FIRST captured by robotnik, she was ten years old, because mighty was stated to also be ten around the time

that would make tails five at the time far before auto fiona. After that, Fiona spends two years imprisoned by robotnik which makes her twelve and tails seven. Add another whole year of her running with Nic plus another year, she's about fourteen and meeting mighty again, revealed to be not dead. This makes tails nine years old.

and around here, she should be around 15 years old BECAUSE of the one year time skip of sonic being gone, and when Sonic comes back he should approximately be 16-17 which means by the time he comes back Fiona is actually 16 years old, meaning close to the events as of here:

So when Fiona was fifteen, robotnik used auto Fiona on tails when he was ten, we have a one year time skip because of sonic, and then we have a eleven year old tails and a sixteen year old Fiona

Does this make much sense? Probably not but in the best way I could explain. Did I overcomplicate it? Perchance. Does this make much sense with the Archie timeline? No but when did the Archie time Line ever make enough sense, last but not least to I ship tailiona HELL NAW ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ

So to make it clearly without the explanatio:

Fiona's first imprisonment : Tails 5, Fiona 10 Fiona's escape: Tails 7, Fiona 12. Running with Nic for : tails 9, Fiona 14.

AutoFiona +Sonic's sacrifice:

tails 10, Fiona15

And then a year later he's actually 11 and she's 16

Super hearing

Can we please talk about lightnings super ability of hearing? Considering it got mentioned once but Is presumably canon

what do you mean you hear the cops approaching from 15 MINUTES AWAY? HOW MUCH DISTANCE DOES HE HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF, OF HEARING?

The ring pretty much opened for less than a whole second and they're already bursting into the room (which they were likely from a certain distance from too), that's not just impressive that's straight up terrifying, imagine you had something to pay up with the Destructix, find yourself in a horror house chase scenario, you literally breathe the wrong way and and a whole ass lynx spawns behind you

Not to mention this leaves me wondering if the rest of the raiju clan is capable of this or if this is just a special trait which made him the exception, but it also means you can't really sneak up on him either. I like to believe that he is able to tune in and out of hearing (because that would've been a pain in the ass growing up and hearing EVERYBODY'S business of any kind). I like to believe in the first place that lightning is more of a high threath ninja than everbody acknowledges, regarding under the harsh environment he grew up in. What I'm just trying to say is that this is probably a very powerful trait of him, if you combine the assumption that he can probably orient very well through the other senses and not just his eyes. He could be practically be aware of his surroundings and dodge anything 24/7.

(Unrelated to the canon, but regarding my comic I am making, lightning does have an specific amount of siblings which I won't reveal yet. I am going with the idea that he can turn the hearing off cause sheesh-)

Tall or a short king?

So before I even start with releasing anything about my comic for now, i'd like to talk about a fact of lightning and that is his height. Because as one might know, in my cover of liberation, he looks like this:

as you can see, he isn't short.

"But curious, why did you draw him taller if he is rather small like this??:"

I am glad you asked, because I have mutliple reasons, most do them just being artistic choices too! Allow me to elaborate.

So when I was a kid, I liked lightning lynx ever since I undertood his character on a deeper level. When it came to really liking a design choice tho (and yes, it might not be the best pick out of history) it was genuinely this:

Younger me was OBSESSED with this panel, I thought that was the coolest shi on earth with his he looked, that was mind blow-💥. Once I saw this panel of him I started to see that kind of design choice as a standard for him any time I imagined him, no matter how much he would've gotten changed. However as much as I love this one, I ALSO love this one:

The newer one simply just had some specific pep in it which made me love it so much. I mean just look at him all bamboozled

But this also meant some changes, which first of all, I always thought he looked a little less intimidating as it used to be, which isn't inherently a bad thing y'know, but what you gotta know me is I LOVE seeing this man throw hands and make it look cool, I wanted him to kick some ass

Anytime I saw this dude throw straight hands or legs as a kid I felt like I was gonna go-

(I know khan roasted his butt less than a second later but that's not the point)

What it also meant as a change was one important fact and that was his height. Cause as you can see here:

Despite him being hunched over or curled into himself like 24/7, at some point it's quite possible to figure out that he's definitely shorter than the rest of the destructix. But remember when I said I really liked that one design in the beginning which I often imagine as a standard? Well:

And well look, obviously in this one, espío is hunched over, however if we picture it we could imagine that if he stood straight he would be maybe a few centimeters taller than lightning. But my point here is actually something different, because what we do know is that sonic is taller than fiona. Now I know Archie and official heights don't always add up, but we do know that sonic is 3,3, 100 cm. But do you know how tall espío is?

About 3,7, or 110 cm which is actually the same height as knuckles

now as I said, obviously Archie doesn't add always up, and lightning in majority of his appearances is portrayed as short, not tall. But if we assume here in this one appernacw from this specific design choice he's about espios height or a little shorter, it would mean he'd be about sonic height or a little taller. Now this is, a one time exception from the majority of his appearances. So what do you do when you find yourself between two cool designs, you really like the character, and you wanna draw him, and the one you like the most isn't really considered the most used one? Simple:

You mix em (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)!

In which I kept the height, but kind of tried to mix his features from the more recent design with the one I really like. No idea if this will amount clearly in the future when I'll draw him more, but It was my solution to overthinking this whole matter. Not to mention in fanart, you can always redesign or change a character a bit aslong as it's not problematic and is for fun.
