-tiny pretty things spoilers ahead-
you know what really pissed me off with neveah and oren’s romantic subplot? the fact that in comparison to bette and matteo, they have little to no romantic development..
bette and matteo got to have so many cute moments leading up to them getting together. including bette going to matteos show and watching him sing, and matteo helping bette with the door and helping her with her foot pains. not to mention the fact that bette met matteo’s fucking FAMILY.. and she had a little cute dancing scene with matteo’s brother... they literally were given main character type romance.. when bette is literally NOT the main character.. neveah is!!
while neveah and oren on the other hand, had bits and pieces of moments before they got together.. they barely have any real romantic or cute scenes together before they started officially dating.. their entire romance seems like a romance given to a side character.. hell not even a side character. a reoccurring character at best.,.. no wonder we’re all confused on when oren and neveah started to fall for each other.. it’s because they legit never showed us!!!
when i saw the trailer to this show, i was so excited to see a black girl as the leading character.. only to watch it and find out that the skinny blonde white girl gets more of a storyline than the main character herself!! like what the hell netflix? make it make sense
