Tiny Pretty Things
watching Tiny Pretty Things feels like accidentally walking into the most dramatic ballet studio on earth and then realizing everyone is a little bit insane.
like why are these ballet students acting like they’re in a thriller??? one second they’re doing perfect pirouettes and the next second someone is whispering a secret in a dark hallway like they’re in a mystery novel.
also the way the show makes ballet look both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. you start the episode thinking “wow ballet is so elegant” and end it thinking “why is everyone fighting for their lives in pointe shoes.”
and the whole time you’re watching like… ok but who is actually telling the truth here. because every character looks calm for two seconds and then suddenly there’s another secret, another rivalry, another dramatic stare across the studio mirror.
anyway the real lesson from Tiny Pretty Things is that ballet students apparently live more dramatic lives before age 20 than most people do in their entire lifetime. 🩰📺
