Bashers can be so confusing sometimes.
i once saw an anzu basher say that they only liked dub peachshipping and sub peachshipping was abusive because Anzu didn't know the difference between yugi and atem and is trying to change yugi. No. NO. THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. They're literally the same dynamic except in the dub the characters are whitewashed. Anzu knows the difference. Anzu loves Yami, but it's been implied she develops feelings for Yugi over the course of the series. And if you look at that one moment from the early manga where Anzu puts herself in danger to get Yami's attention, that was extremely OOC and Takahashi-sensei was still establishing and getting used to the character's personalities. She really never did something that stupid again.
TL;DR: Peachshipping is god tier, stop bashing anzu for one thing she did when the writer was STILL TRYING TO GET A FEEL FOR HER PERSONALITY
Who is Anuz? Some new character that I'm unaware of?
Seriously...
I go on to Fanfiction and this is one of those the first things I see. Goddamn it. Stop with the bashing. If you're trying to write seriously, don't bash characters, because I automatically assume you know nothing of writing in character.
The next morning, Anzu ran up to Yugi and gave him a big hug. "Hello love. Did you come up with a decision yet?" Yugi smiled. "Yes, yes I have." He said with confidence. "Well that's good. Now how are we going to get rid of the puzzle?" "Bitch." Anzu jumped back. "What did you just say?" Yugi smiled. "I just called you a bitch." He hugged his millennium puzzle tightly. "I can't believe you would even think of putting me in a situation like that. You should have known better." "I don't understand Yugi." "What's there not to understand Anzu? I chose Yami and not you. If you really truly cared about me, you wouldn't have made me choose. And to think I could even love a bitch like you." Anzu flinched. "No one has ever turned me down before!" Yugi smirked. "Well let this be a first." With that, he walked off.
Oh Anzu Bashing from '02
It's just not complete without some Anzu bashing is it?
"What's the rush Yugi?" Anzu's words were purely acid. Directed towards the fallen teen, "I'd thought you'd be happy to see me." her smile was all fake. Anzu held a terrible grudge against Yugi, for something he did not commit. To her, what Yugi did was a sin, a crime to all mankind. And for that, the teen must pay. She made sure that each day was a living nightmare for the amethyst eyed boy. Being the most popular girl in school, made it easy to get away with the tortures she did to Yugi.
