About F/F content & AO3

i’m so sick of the ppl who mainly make m/m or f/m content being like “y’all should just engage with f/f media more!” or “write your own f/f!!”

like wow you are so big brained and such a genius. how have we never thought of that? wow!

a lot of you are so extremely condescending towards lesbians & sapphics that simply want women to be more including in this space and for our work to be taken seriously.

the issue is that f/f as a WHOLE is not taken seriously compared to both f/m & m/m, because of the lack of men present in a pairing. it’s not even just fics either, it goes down to our shows, our manwhas/mangas, books even.

i personally DO make my own f/f and lesbian content, yet we as sapphic writers and artists can only do so much when genuinely no one besides wlw take our relationships and art seriously. it’s a deeper fucking issue than just “hur dur make ur own content why don’t like just act like fujoshis and surround urself with that content”

like dumbass, tons of lesbians have poured their heart & souls into f/f works and content just to never be met with even half of the reception that f/m & m/m content! listen to people who are coming from a place of genuine critique instead of kneejerking to feel personally attacked by lesbians on the internet that just want to feel represented. at the end of the day y’all have what you want, we don’t.

OMG ITS HAPPENING AGAIN 😭

I saw a few AO3 wraps turning around end of December and it reminded me of the one I did last year. (You can find it here.) And since I did it mid-January, I waited for 2024 to end properly.

So here it is!

I wrote a lot less compared to last year, wow. In fact, I only wrote for a challenge, the @spnagereweek, and I still have one day to write... *sigh* Anyway.

I'm sick of this is the fourth and is actually pretty close to be my favourite as well.

I mean, it's a tie between a) Sammy's perfect birzday because it was the first time ever that I wrote in a little!POV and, all considered, it turned out really good, and b) A picnic gone... not wrong but sideways because even though it's hard to write fights, I like to hate it. Hate to like it. Whatever. It's challenging and that's the bit I prefer in that story.
