Ill admit I do usually think of bokuken in the context of bokuakakuroken 🤔
For aoasa propaganda: I think if everyone else gets to have a gay little thing with their assigned volleyball rival (thinking kurodai, kenhina, yakunoya to an extent) then asahi should get to as well... I think once asahi has picked himself up, rather than being scared or resentful they could have the same respect and admiration that everybody in haikyuu has for their strongest opponents !! (Aone maybe gets to this place sooner. He thinks asahi is very cool and strong and that his hair is pretty,, asahi thinks aone is still staring because of Rivalry only)
Haha yeah! Idk why but it's like Akaashi is the glue that would hold them all together. Everyone loves Akaashi, how can you not 😆
Yoooo no you're so right! Asahi DOES deserve his own little gay rivalry and Aone does make perfect sense for it. Aone having a crush on Asahi??? I'm so listening lmao.
Thinking about Aone sticking around after a practice match and everyone thinks he's just waiting to bow to Hinata (which he also does), but then he also gives Asahi his number, says nothing else and Asahi's face is instantly a tomato while everyone else whoops and cheers
Prompt: "Don't be angry. please, don't be angry. i can take it from just about anyone, but not you..." for Aone/Asahi
Pairing: Aone Takanobu /Azumane Asahi
Warnings: Angst, implied summer fling (?), bad characterization
Word Count: 628 words
Notes: I’m finally writing this. I’m very sorry at how rough this is, but I have never written for these characters before and tried my hardest. Hopefully this is okay!
When Nishinoya had gotten angry with Asahi his third year, Asahi thought that it was the end of the world. He didn’t easily bend to Nishinoya’s demands, but he still bent, because he wanted that anger to go away. Maybe it was because he had loved him so much or maybe because he hated when people were angry with him.
College changed that. He had to get used to people being angry with him, because everyone was always so angry. Anger consumed everyone around him, and he tried so hard to not let it consume him too. It wasn’t that he wanted to be different, but he didn’t want to be like them. He didn’t want anger to dictate his words and motions.
Asahi ran into Aone when he was back in Miyagi to visit Daichi, who had officially become a firefighter by then. They ran into each other in a café, and Aone didn’t point at him like he did in high school. Instead he waved at Asahi with a soft smile, and Asahi used his new confidence to strike up a conversation.
While he was in Miyagi, they went on a couple of dates, and that feeling he had once had for Nishinoya was here again. It made his entire body feel fuzzy and he couldn’t stop smiling whenever he was around Aone. It was nice, but he would have to leave soon, because his home was in Tokyo, even if part of him felt more at home with Aone.
“You’re leaving tomorrow?” Aone asked, and they were in the park. Aone had said this park had the prettiest flowers, but they hadn’t made it there yet.
“Summer break is nearly over,” Asahi said, and he hoped that was enough to explain it. His eyes scanned Aone’s face, but it was hard to read him. It had always been hard to read him, because he remained more neutral while Asahi tended to be more expressive.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Aone asked, and he sounded hurt, but there was also a hint of anger in his voice. “Is this just a fling to you?”
Asahi shook his head, and words felt like they were clogged in his throat, because that wasn’t how he felt. That was so far from how he felt. He didn’t know how to say that though, because what if he said the wrong thing? What if he made this so much worse?
“Why get my hopes up?” Aone asked, and he wouldn’t look at Asahi anymore. All Asahi wanted was for him to look over and see that this was just a misunderstanding. It was all just a misunderstanding. “I don’t think this will work out.”
Part of Asahi had known it wouldn’t, but those words made him feel like he could speak again, even if he had no control over what he said. “No, don’t do this.”
“Then what should I do?”
“Just please don’t be angry. I can take it from just about anyone, but not you,” Asahi said, and he wished he could say something that would make Aone realize he hadn’t meant to hurt him. He was scared though of what it would look and feel like for Aone to be angry with him. “I’m sorry, but I do want this–I want you.”
“Then why not tell me?”
Asahi sighed and looked at his feet. “I guess I thought we could make it all work out. I thought you wouldn’t want me if you knew it was only for the Summer.”
Aone was silent for a moment, which wasn’t uncommon, but this time it hurt Asahi’s ears to hear the park around them instead of Aone’s voice.
“I apologize, but I don’t think this will work out.”
Aaaaactually, I didn’t want to post it until tomorrow… but I finished it today… so I’m posting it now. Although I will definitely update this drawing at some point 😅

Red and Asaone? (Asahi x Aone) Also bless you for these works. They're amazing ♡
Send me a color and a ship and I’ll write you a ficlet that feels like that color.Featuring selectively mute Aone
Asahihadn’tbeen aware that it was possible to be this cold in the middle ofsummer. He shivered under three blankets and Aone’s high schoolsweatshirt, utterly miserable. The bathroom door opened and Aoneappeared in a billow of steam.
“Bathready?” Asahi asked, his voice creaking and hollow. Aone nodded andAsahi started clambering out of bed, only to be stopped by a largehand on his shoulder.
Itshouldn’thave surprised Asahi anymore that Aone was strong enough to do this.He had more than ten kilos on Asahi, and was built like a brick wall. But when he hefted Asahi into his arms like he weighed no more than achild’s doll, Asahi still squealed and locked his arms aroundAone’s neck.
“Stopthat, I’m too heavy,” Asahi said. Aone just grunted and shiftedAsahi into a better position. Asahi closed his eyes and let theswimming in his head take him away.
Oncein the bathroom, Aone stood Asahi on his feet and carefully pulledthe sweatshirt over his head. His track pants followed, then hisboxers and socks. He scooped Asahi back up and lowered him gentlyinto a tub of steaming water. Asahi groaned in pleasure, finallyfeeling the warmth seeping into him. Once he was satisfied that Asahiwasn’tgoing anywhere, Aone picked up the shampoo and began washing Asahi’shair.
Thiswas Asahi’sabsolute favorite thing in the world. Aone’s hands were big andstrong, his fingers thick but nimble, perfect for working the sudsthrough Asahi’s roots. Asahi all but purred with pleasure, the coldand the sick feeling far away for the moment.
“Takanobu,”Asahi murmured when Aone was done rinsing conditioner out of Asahi’shair and stood to go. “Stay.”
Aonehesitated. Iwas going to make you tea,he signed. Asahi smiled at him.
“Thetea can wait. I just want you right now.” Aone nodded and crouchedbeside the tub. He trailed his fingers through the water until Asahitwined them with his own.
Asahiclosed his eyes and reveled in the warmth and the company. When thewater began to grow cold, he let Aone help him out of the tub and pathim dry with their biggest, fluffiest towel. He dressed Asahi again, then helped him out into the bedroom and sat him down on the edge ofthe bed and tucked blankets around him. He disappeared for a momentinto the bathroom, then reappeared with the hair dryer and Asahi’shairbrush. Asahi closed his eyes and let Aone dry and brush his hair, drifting on a wave of nothingness. When Aone was finished, Asahicrawled under the covers. He held a hand out to Aone in invitation, smiling when Aone took it and crawled into bed with him.
“I’mgoing to get you sick,” Asahi realized, trying to shove Aone out ofthe bed. Aone snorted and grabbed Asahi’s flailing arms, pullinghim close to his chest. Asahi closed his eyes and sighed. If Aonecould live with the consequences, so could he.
Who said “I love you” first: neither of them remembers and they don’t think it really matters now
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: they both have the same picture someone took at a new year’s/asahi’s birthday party. it’s so out of focus that you can barely tell it’s them but it’s asahi resting his head on aone’s shoulder while looking at the fireworks
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: aone, he writes whenever they need to get more shaving cream or shampoo so that he doesn’t forget later
Who buys the other cheesy gifts: both, whenever they see something that makes them think of the other (which happens a lot)
Who initiated the first kiss: aone because he could tell asahi wanted to kiss him too but was incredibly embarrassed to go for it
Who kisses the other awake in the morning: asahi (when aone wakes up first he just lets asahi sleep some more)
Who starts tickle fights: tickle fights are dangerous for them since they’re both really big and strong so neither
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: again, neither. they’re fucking huge it’d be extremely dangerous
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: aone’s a great cook (they both are) but his bento are the best
Who was nervous and shy on the first date: both!!!!!!
Who kills/takes out the spiders: they save old magazines just for that reason. aone gets the spiders on them and asahi opens the door for him to set them free
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: both/neither, if they ever get drunk they do it in their own place so it’s not that big of a deal anyways
