i haven't posted in so long. it feels like everyday, a new horror is unleashed. it's terrifying to live in the U.S. it's terrifying to watch democracy be dismantled with surgical precision in a matter of months. i haven't given up hope, but i've been working on an escape plan. it is unlikely i'll be in the U.S. for much longer.

AOC gave a searing and honest speech on the house floor critiquing the ridiculous bill to create a day to honor charlie kirk. charlie kirk was a person who reflected an unrecognizable america: one where cruelty is lionized, marginalized groups are openly derogated, and the least qualified person is upheld as an expert. charlie kirk cheered on the present day horrors we see unfolding daily: ICE kidnapping and killing, the genocide of the palestinians, unfair and unjust firings of predominantly people of color, and the reign of a dictator. to celebrate his legacy is to celebrate the fall of a modern civilization.

I was literally trying for these exact tickets today with my Taylor Swift verified fan presale. But no matter how many times I clicked Ticketmaster failed. Not just for these, but for all the floor tix. Look, i know that’s how it goes but it’s annoying to have to go through the verified fan thing and lose out to scalpers anyways. It’s fine, there’s lots of time to get good tickets from good people who aren’t scalpers but todays ticket bullshit is super frustrating. I agree with AOC, Ticketmaster has to be torn apart and destroyed.

AOC opens organizing spaces in Bronx, Queens

in case you haven't heard, THIRTEEN people are running against AOC for the 2020 NY-14 primary. most of them are right-wing and all of them lie about her. the main critique - she cares more about being on TV than being in her district and she’s “never there”. 

as the official AOC archivist, i document that she is there AT LEAST ONCE PER WEEK, doing outreach, town halls, or meeting directly with constituents.

this past weekend, she opened her new organizing spaces for both her 2020 campaign and will be open for other grassroots orgs in corona, queens. why? because space is so heavily commodified in NYC, that it can be prohibitive to even find a place to meet, plan, and commune in service of a larger goal.

thus, she proclaims both spaces will be of use for:

-political education

-educational space

-grassroots ted talks

this is a woman for the people, folks.
