As you can see I have barely touched the actual JS framework to be used. While technical decisions do matter, pushing Vanilla JS because you are unable to fathom the breath of challenges faced by services like Twitter, just speaks about your shortcomings.

There is a reason Node.js has become popular for backend development instead of devs whipping out their own V8 based JS runtimes. There are more important shit to be dealth with. React will work just fine and spending inordinate amount of time deciding which frontend JS framework to use ends up becoming nothing more than bikeshedding.

I do not have an expertise in the low level hacking work which George Hotz is known for. Infact, I have knowledge and expertise in broader software engineering.

George Hotz is speaking out of his ass! Expertise in one area does not necessarily translate into expertise in anything else. You know how a person becomes an expert? By spending time working on that field, failing a few times, getting humbled, questioning your choices and learning to take advice.

While we are at this, lets see if we an break down his twitter rants which can be more aptly described as a meltdown. Apparantly he is more confidently incorrect than ChatGPT.

This person was more worried about his Github stats rather than delivering value or working with people. Did you ask why he could not make any impact? He might blame others before looking inwards. Software Engineering make real impact by delivering through others.
