Found a neat little argument on the AOD side of Pinterest that I'd like to just completely debunk.

Apparently AOD is an anime, which means it could only have Japanese characters, despite evidence that they're American.

1. The Names

The names are a bit of a dead giveaway that none are Japanese. I guess you could argue that it could also take place in Europe from the names. Yet, there's Gray, spelt the American version of "gray."

2. Driving on the right side of the road

This also can be in multiple countries, but we do drive on the right side in America. People drive on the left side in Japan.

3. Zack's information sheet references states

Within the game during Episode 1, you can find Zack's report, which has a small reference to a state, referring to the United States.

In conclusion, they're all American. Besides Shin, who I believe is Japanese through his name and the Daruma in his shop.
