Ok, I'll admit my obsession with AoE2 may be because I replaced a unit with Trapinch

I just want to put them in as many games as possible

Was this Age of Empires Siege Tower APC strategy caused by some recent patch? (I didn't even know the game was still getting patched!) Or if it was there for a long time, how was it undiscovered until now?

I haven't been following things closely if this is referring to something recent, not sure which post of mine this is in response to. I play compaigns and stuff occasionally and watch stuff on youtube sometimes but not upto date on all the latest strats. looking things up, looks like it got discounted fairly recently. I remember the attitude for a while was that they're useless so they didn't show up much but sounds like recently there's been some overpowered stuff discovered and it's banned in places? doesn't seem like there were any super recent changes to them apart from the cost reduction from a look at the wiki. But yeah, AOE2 is still getting regular updates, there's a total water combat overhaul coming (or may aleady be here?), new DLCs with new civs and campaigns every few months along with regular balance changes.

I get hit on the head with a trebuchet shot and a small red bump of a tower raises up on my scalp and instead of birds the little wingding things around my head are Hindustani Imperial Camel Riders and Hand Cannons with +2 range
