"it still doesn't feel great to see you in cuffs." izuku eyes them warily. he hates to have used them, but nagisa had given him a bit of a hard time catching him. why had he been running? he . . . still doesn't know. there are so many questions izuku has, too many to land on just one and use it as his starting point. how long has it been since they'd last seen each other?

too long.

izuku still remembered the empty feeling in his chest when he realized nagisa wasn't coming back. he had never considered it as his best friend abandoning him, but it still hurt, nevertheless.

"you're way too calm for this situation, nagi-chan. just . . . talk to me. i can get you out of those cuffs if you tell me what's going on."

thumb  brushes  against  his  own  bottom  lip  in  thought  as  he  scribbles  something  in  the  margins  of  one  of  his  student's  papers.  definitely  an  observant  one,  but  focused  on  the  wrong  thing.  he  would  have  to  make  sure  to  ask  them  to  stay  after  class  to  talk  about  staying  on  topic,  even  if  they  are  making  some  really  good  points  about  certain  types  of  fighting  styles.

he  mumbles  under  his  breath,  grabbing  a  notepad  to  make  notes  for  himself  to  go  over  later.  it  isn't  until  nagisa  snores  a  bit  loud  that  izuku  freezes,  suddenly  aware  that  the  other  has  fallen  asleep  against  him.  a  silent  glance  is  given  to  the  other  before  a  fond  smile  curves  the  corners  of  his  mouth.

nagisa  must  be  pretty  tired  if  he  hadn't  stirred  with  izuku's  mumbling  and  his  movement.  he  ponders  whether  or  not  he  should  take  him  to  the  guest  bedroom,  but  decides  to  wait  a  bit  longer,  just  in  case  nagisa  wakes  and  decides  to  play  off  being  tired.  still  .  .  .

izuku  reaches  over,  pulling  the  blanket  over  nagisa,  making  sure  he's  covered.

rumi doesn't look to the source of the voice, only watches ahead of her as the next wave of demonic creatures manage to BURST through the waning honmoon and pile on the ground about half a mile away. she readies her weapon and furrows her brow. ❛no, it's bad. it's very bad. but, i can─❜

her voice trails off as she finally glances at the source of the voice. an eyebrow RAISES in surprise and confusion.
