Day nine of @bunnykaye​ ‘s 30 Days of AOS Challenge: Favorite Guest Star I hadn’t seen Captain America: The First Avenger at the time s2 aired, so it was due to Peggy’s involvement in the storyline that I fell in love with her, as well as Hayley and her amazing talent as an actress. It was also singlehandedly responsible for making Agent Carter my second favorite show ever.

 I really love how they worked Peggy into the main plot of the season, and Jemma’s love for her is super cute and inspiring. Peggy is one of my favorite fictional characters ever now, and one who’s super important to me, so I’m happy AoS was able to bring her into my life.

CATCH UP! ... third week

D15- saddest death — 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💚⚙️🏢 Fitz in “The End” ... I cry during a lot of deaths in this show. But with this one, I went completely numb. Gutted.

D16- best season premiere — 🌑🕳🗞🦹🏻‍♀️ 3️⃣ “Laws of Nature” ... so great to introduce us to what’s happened six months later. Fitz’s desperation. Daisy as Daisy. Joey’s honest reactions. So good.

D17- best season finale — 🏢🦹🏻‍♀️🚀🏙🏝5️⃣ “The End” ... the full circle beats. Jemma’s speech. That farewell music. Fitz’s death. A second Fitz! Tearful goodbyes. Tahiti. “Save Lives.” That triumphant music. Daisy after serum. So incredible.

D18- favorite season 1 moment — 🌬🌊🖤 Fitz’s sacrifice in “Beginning of the End” ... his admittal of feelings. The contented look. All of it.

D19- favorite season 2 moment — 👙✈️🐾🐟the whole ending montage in “S.O.S.: Part 2 ... love the farewell music. Cal. The fish oil. Coulson’s debrief with Andrew. All of it.

D20- favorite season 3 moment — ✈️🤗❤️ the return of the team in “Maveth” ... the triumphant music. Everyone reuniting. Fitz watching Jemma peer into the pod. Gorgeous.

D21- favorite season 4 moment — 🤗👯‍♀️🔪 ... stand-off between Daisy and Simmons that turns into a hug of relief. Gorgeous. Gutting. Amazing.

It started the 27th I believe! So I think we’re on the fifth? Someone correct me if I’m wrong, I’m a tad late to the game.

Day seven of @bunnykaye​ ‘s 30 Days of AOS Challenge: Favorite Ship

I will always love Fitzsimmons, no matter what. Just one of the most painful and beautiful and adorable love stories ever, and their chemistry is so sweet. There won’t be a single moment I’m not sad about these two, and there’s not much more to say. Just Fitzsimmons.

Day two of @bunnykaye​ ‘s 30 Days of AOS Challenge: Favorite Episode

This was a really hard call to make- S6 made it HARDER since I have at least four faves out of the whole season- but since most of my faves are being given by others as answers on this meme, I’m going to give a little love to 602, Window of Opportunity. 

This episode was pure fun, start to finish, and was when S6 told us it was here for a good time, not for a long time. It manages to pack both a crime/heist story AND a space opera tale into 47 minutes with plenty of action, laughs, and feels, and has both a solid, stylish, and super cool open- the best cold open the show has ever had, in my opinion- and a great, touching cliffhanger of an ending with Jemma’s Fitzdar going off. 

There’s two robberies, a Slurpee DNA test plot twist, a spaceship mutiny, romance, and one extremely deadly but adorable assassin. What more could you ask for from an episode of a show? 

Bonus: a comic style edit of Snow during the jewelry store robbery I did messing around with Krita’s filters I decided to throw on this post since it’s relevant.

Day five of @bunnykaye​ ‘s 30 Days of AOS Challenge: Favorite Female Character

It was really hard to choose for this one so I’m going to call it a tie between Jemma and Snowflake. 

Jemma was honestly the first time I ever saw a female character like myself on TV- awkward, a general mess, and by s2, super traumatized. But she still has value, and can still do the things she’s good at, and it was good to see that it’s okay to be flawed and imperfect and not understand everything, that mistakes are okay and you can grow out of them. Jemma helped me through a period of abuse in my workplace and helped me find the courage to escape that abuse.  Snowflake is just... all of the things I love about Jemma, turned up to 11, and she’s probably the one character from the show that’s the closest to me in personality and mannerisms. She’s weird and kind of awkward (and not to beat around the bush, but super autistic-coded, rare in women much less an action oriented character like her) and everyone just rolls with that being how she is, and more importantly, she’s allowed to be scared and angry and nervous onscreen and that never takes away from how badass and brave she is. The breakdowns she had at the beginning and end of 609 genuinely make me feel better about my own low points. 

She’s a breath of fresh air as the usual cute assassin character goes. It would have been so easy for her to just exist as the token Sexy Lamp of the truck but instead she wound up with a ton of personality and defying every trope you’d expect her to be stuck with. 

Both of them make me feel less alone and have helped me deal with difficult things in life, so I’m going to give them both that title of favorite since it’d feel wrong to choose just one.

Day three of @bunnykaye​ ‘s 30 Days of AOS Challenge: Favorite Storyline

The entire Shrike storyline. A zombie-space western that turned the whole space outlaw genre on its head by presenting characters who'd normally be the heroes of a science fiction story as the antagonists. 

The show has played around with horror elements before but this storyline marked the first time an entire season was firmly science fiction-horror, and it did great with it. It was pure, morbid fun even at its angstiest, and honestly a romp by the standards of previous seasons. 

At the same time, I really love how while fully embracing the monster genre, it dealt with themes of handling grief and trauma without those themes weighing down the whole narrative or feeling preachy. It turns out you can learn a lot from an over the top tale of parasitic aliens and elder gods.
