The Different Roles within the Alliances:
Warden:
Cats chosen by the Council of Elders to lead the Alliance after the previous leader has died or retired. If for whatever reason, an Alliance does not have Elders, then the most senior cats of the Alliance will take on the role instead.
The Council of Elders:
These cats are all former Mages, Wardens, Heads, and Rangers who have retired due to age or injury. Now they spend their days trying to pass down their wisdom to the next generation of young cats, as well as assist the Warden with any difficult decisions.
Heads:
These cats are supervisors within the Alliances, working side by side with the Warden to make sure the Alliance continues running - making sure that every cat is fed, protected, etc. There are five separate head positions, each having their own specific duties, but their goals are the same. These positions are: Head Keeper, Head Hunter, Head Patroller, Head Guardian, and Head Pathfinder.
Mages:
These cats are the healers of the Alliances, dedicating their lives to healing the sick and injured within their Alliance. Though it is fairly common for these cats to never take mates or have families, it’s not impossible. Its just recommended that more than one Mage is in service before doing so, so that the Alliance is still being cared for.
Rangers:
These cats make up the majority of the Alliances. They are adult cats who are given work orders by the Heads, giving them jobs and tasks to complete every day to help them contribute to their Alliance. They are called Rangers because they range over and protect their territory.
Queens:
This title is reserved for female Rangers and Mages who are pregnant, nursing, or raising their young. Queens return to their duties shortly after their kittens are weaned, and Keeper Rangers tend to the young while their parents are away.
Pathfinders:
Young cats who are training to become full-fledged members of their Alliance. Usually ranging between six and twelve months old. Most kittens will begin learning basic skills from their parents before becoming Pathfinders and being assigned their own teachers.
Kittens:
Young cats who have yet to begin their training.
