Who’s in the Mando Suit When? - A Visual Guide
I’ve had a few people ask me before how I know which actor is in the Mando suit at which times. Here, I provide my whole process as to how I determine who’s in the Mando suit during both seasons one and two of The Mandalorian.
It doesn’t matter who’s in the suit when—all of them do an excellent job! It’s just fun for me to catch their different flairs.
I don’t know all of these for certain. This is purely based on what I can analyze from body types, stunts, credits, and the like.
Pedro has spent 99% of his time suited up in season two. Due to scheduling conflicts, Pedro was hardly able to get in the suit during season one—aside from his helmetless scene. During season two, though, he spent a lot of time in the beskar.
Pedro has a few very distinct features that shine through in the suit. First, his shoulders are the most broad amongst the four different actors. If Mando looks buffer than usual? Chances are that’s Pedro in there. Match this with his shoulder-to-waist ratio, the latter of which is quite small, and you’ve likely got Pedro.
Additionally, Pedro tends to favor what fans have deemed “the stance™” while he’s in the suit. He’ll often lean on one hip or just stand with his feet apart. Pedro also uses his arms a lot while walking and places his hands on his hips for emphasis.
If you listen closely to Mando’s voice, it’ll sound just a bit stuffier than usual if he’s inside the Mando suit, thanks to his microphone within the helmet. His helmet itself is slightly different than the other doubles, with a wider visor and a shorter length. It’s barely noticeable.

Brendan has easily spent the most time inside the Mando suit. He was the main stand-in for season one and is suited up for the big gunslinging moments.
Brendan’s body type is leaner than the others. He appears a bit taller in the suit with a proportionate shoulder-to-waist ratio. Brendan acts with his fingers and head tilts and tends to distribute his weight evenly on both legs. If the person in the Mando suit is serving you a lot of season one Mando vibes, it’s likely Brendan in there.
Brendan can, at times, be hard to tell apart from Barry, who I’ll be discussing below. They’re both the most lean when they’re inside the suit.

Lateef is always the man in the suit whenever Mando’s fighting or flying. He takes care of the crazy stunts, taking on Mando’s hardest tasks firsthand in both seasons.
Lateef has an extremely small waist. This is likely due to his strenuous training for the fights. He also appears as the shortest Mando in the suit. His shoulders can appear very broad but in a different way than Pedro’s.

Barry majorly stepped into the Mando suit for the first time in season two. He took over as the body double after Brendan suffered from an injury and Pedro couldn’t be on set.
Barry, like Brendan, is leaner. If Mando looks a lot smaller than usual (not in height), it’s most likely Barry in the suit. He also tends to stand still with the helmet tilted slightly to the side, unmoving.
Barry also did some of the long-range shots of Mando on the speeder. He also was notably the stand-in during some of Mando’s time in the Imperial suit in Chapter 15: The Believer.
