abt SNK—there is a friend I have that likes it, and I tried to tell her abt all the shit wrong w it, and she agreed and said it was nasty. i cant speak from a POC perspective but i can speak from a Jewish perspective and honestly it still skeeves me out. The premise of the story itself is built on making a shitty antisemitic holocaust analogy with pro-fascist undertones. you literally cannot take the antisemitism out of AOT without having to build the entire story back up from the ground, worldbuilding and all, and if you're gonna go to that length, just make OCs.

You cannot remove the bigotry from the text when the bigotry is built into every aspect of it.
