just left leashed up in a dingy basement. left with his thoughts, mostly.

rewarded when he's not making escape attempts or being a bastard.

a scene where he's a few weeks out from having his ability to run taken with a quick double tendon cut. just self soothing with his knees to his chest, feeling the stitches as he sinks in the sorrow a little bit. just a bit.

you're in kalei's room and he's nowhere to be seen. it's all dark, you can't see a thing so nobody can blame you for stumbling with something and falling to the ground — once you turn your head and see what made you fall you realize it's a large box. with many books and plushies inside

the plushies vary in sizes, but all of them have signs of being worn down (to the point of losing patterns and colors) and the books have silly little notes to bookmark the romantic scenes between the characters. but before you could inspect further a certain shadow looms over you, angrily.

“what do you think you're doing...?” kalei grumbles. and you can't tell if the red in his face is because of shame or anger that you found out his darkest secret.

I love that he can look all cold and intimidating but in reality he has such a cute and sweet side. I'm a sucker for romance too, maybe I don't read that much (at least not novels) but I would love to listen to him reading one.

I think one of my favorite parts of this is just thinking about him being so at peace... 😭 I love when he feels happy, when he can just breathe and appreciate the moment... The little things in life... WIWIWIWIWI

anyway. i relate to fig so much it makes me sick to my fucking stomach!!!. i really can't think about her for too long or my brain starts to hammer the big red SELF DESTRUCT button and i start clawing at the walls. and, well, that's not really helpful!
