At One With The Silence is definitely still going to be receiving updates! It's a project I'm extremely passionate about, and I'm determined to see it through to the end! Updates have been slow because of my work schedule, but I'm determined to get at least a few updates out over the summer 🙂↕️
In the meantime, I have a oneshot I've been cooking up that I'll hopefully be posting soon!

Given the title, I should have guessed where it was going but I kind of just read it without giving the title a second thought and then realized what was going on. xD

Poor Dream needs better coping strategies than burying himself in work. It's probably outside the realm of what this story will cover but I can't help but wonder if Nightmare is completely lost to the corruption or if passive Nightmare is still in there somewhere.

Keeping it open for guests was a must for me! Before I made my account, I was a guest reader for YEARS (and I still am when I don't feel like logging in), so I definitely didn't want to alienate those readers!
And that actually isn't outside of what the story will cover! I'm extremely partial to Nightmare still being himself and not that outside entity that he is in canon, so AOWtS's Nightmare IS still Dream's brother, just with a very altered/corrupted mindset. Most of my work will probably be that way, since I really enjoy the extra angst their estranged bond creates!

I am still working on stuff but with the hype of Deltarune updating I've been a bit fixated on that on top of everything else. Also Artfight. Yeah.
But! I wanted to say is that I might start making my chapters a bit shorter! Maybe with a goal of around 3k words each instead of 5k? The reason for that is that I feel like 5k is a REALLY daunting goal for me to achieve with every single chapter, which results in me getting very overwhelmed and not wanting to work on it as often as I should. I also end up being more critical of my writing and rewriting and rewriting until I'm happy with it. I feel bad for making y'all have to wait so long for a single chapter, but I also feel like I'm doing too much and getting burnt out, you know? Especially since this is my first long fic.
I haven't decided what I'll do with the next chapter yet! The draft is well past my goal of 3k, so I may end up putting it out as the last super long chapter. OR, alternatively, I could split it into 2 chapters. We will see 🙂↕️
