A Day in My Life - 03/22/17. I went to the Michigan Theater to watch "A Page of Madness". (狂った一頁)The movie was made in 1925. An experimental silent movie in Japan, with Benshi & live music. ミシガンシアターに、「狂った一頁(A Page of Madness) 」-弁士:片岡一郎- を観に行きました。原作は川端康成。1925 年に制作された実験映画といったところです。 今回は、アナーバーのフィルムフェスティバルの一環だったので、いやもう沢山の人、人、人。弁士の片岡氏がおっしゃっていた通り、不思議な映画でした。でも、狂気の世界の描き方はとてもストレートで素直。今、日本では諸事情あって上映されない映画だそうで、得した気分。息子はわけが分からない世界でしたが、登場人物たちの関係はわかったようで、彼なりに楽しんだようです。映画が終わったのが夜11時近くだったので、大急ぎで帰りました。明日息子は数学のテスト。気分転換になるから行きたいと言うので連れて行ったけれど、ホントかなぁ。 前振りで、ミシガン大学のアジア映画専門の教授が、YouTube で全編観られますと紹介していましたが、たしかにありました。でも、弁士と演奏で雰囲気がかなり変わる無声映画、。一つとして同じものはありません。公開された頃は、あまりに変わっていて一般の弁士にはとても難しく、当時の最高峰、徳川夢声が弁じていたそうです。 「狂った一頁」 https://youtu.be/7aubUkD_2k4 #silentmovie #michigantheater #annarbor#apageofmadness #狂った一頁 (at The Michigan Theater)
